• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

When should you change your Spark Plugs?

I wish I was smart enough to understand any of this conversation

Interesting conversation at the gas pump - asked why I chose to ride a Spyder rather than 'a real motorcycle'?!

Seriously, this is like approving or not approving what type of care someone drives. Who cares? If you like it, ride it!

Can anyone tell me how to remove the front seat and disconnect the seat heat? How can I get to that seat heat plug?

OK, sorry for the long delay. We moved houses over Christmas and packing and moving took priority over the Spyder. But good news! I figured it out. I had to really compress the driver seat's sides while pulling the passenger seat around the driver seat. Now it's all in tight.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the front seat and disconnect the seat heat? How can I get to that seat heat plug?

Oh my goodness! I finally got to that connection for the driver seat heat, but it was locked in under that hard metal plate under the rear seat. The problem was that the main thick cord that reaches from the handlebars and goes under the driver seat was too short. So I could not pull the seat...

Can anyone tell me how to remove the front seat and disconnect the seat heat? How can I get to that seat heat plug?

It seems to be further back, like between the two rear luggage compartments

Can anyone tell me how to remove the front seat and disconnect the seat heat? How can I get to that seat heat plug?

Sorry, pictures attached. You can see that the cord from the front seat goes down below the hard base of the back seat. I can't get to the connecter to disconnect the seat heat because it is under that hard base. -

Can anyone tell me how to remove the front seat and disconnect the seat heat? How can I get to that seat heat plug?

I can remove the seat, but the plug for removing the seat heat is way underneath the hard plastic piece that’s under the rear seat. Does anyone know how I can get to that plug? I’m going to post some pictures. Sorry, 2021 RTL

Can Am Spyders Resale value isn't great...

I would have thought Spyders would have better resale value because at least you know they have never been layed down.

2025 F3 limited - what Hand wind deflectors have you installed?

I sure wish Can Am would make OEM ones. I tried some from Amazon and had to return them. I am not up for trial and error.

Looking for a good GPS - Touring, no off road. Considering Garmin Zumo XT - thoughts?

This exact same thing happened to me. One would think that when you carefully plan the route on google maps and then send it to your phone, it would remember all of the dragged changes. But nope, it defaults to the quickest route, even when logged in to the same account on both the computer and...

2020 RT Limited Rear Case Removal - does the cover come with the bike? Should I expect it when buying a used bike?

Oh boy, I misread this. I thought we were talking about the trunk removal tool - I have an extra one of those, not the actual cover. Sorry for the false alarm.

There really are no alternatives to the Can Am reverse trikes

There was an outfit called Endeavor Trikes that did a reverse trike on Gold Wings but he closed up last year. There might still be some biked floating around out there

Kenda tires - I truly don't understand the hateful responses to Kenda tires. I have over 22,000 km on mine and they're only 50% worn.

Not just that, but how much smoother the ride is because you can run at a lower tire pressure. That is what I noticed first, the ride is so much less jarring.

Buying a new helmet - who replaces them every 5 years per manufacturers spec??

My company manufacturers hard hats. We also have a 5 year recommendation to replace the hat. The main culprit is exposure to UV light. If your helmet sat in your basement for years, then technically you could use it much longer. But most of us really can't figure out exactly how long we...

I've gone from ATGATT to H (just Helmet).

I totally get it. There is a balance between safety, and convenience and fun. I ride in jeans, gloves, and a long sleeve shirt or light jacket, mainly for sun protection. I mostly wear hiking books but sometimes just sneakers. I live in TN with a helmet law but if not, I could be tempted...
