• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Life's Little Pleasures...

When I fly I use colored luggage straps around my luggage. I have one that has rainbow stripes and one that has red, white, and blue stripes.

Anyone know of an easy LED replacement for the dash turn arrows?

A bit of time with Google and I did find a Youtube video of someone who had replaced their button. But it was made clear in the video that the only online source is direct from the person who makes the buttons, and they don't have a website. Just an email address: [email protected]

Have you had any issues with your 2024 Spyder's Brake fluid?

Or it's just a normal brake fluid "thing" because brake fluid is hygroscopic, which means it absorbs water over time. No brake system is truly sealed from the atmosphere, so over time the brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air and needs to be replaced. In the Maintenance Schedule section of...

I want Spyder/Ryker/Canyon dealerships to succeed

I'd love to do that, but it's about 180 miles from where I live. :( And having said that, now I wanna go drop in for a visit! :D

I want Spyder/Ryker/Canyon dealerships to succeed

I purchased my Spyder from a dealer that's about 80 miles from me. They sold me a 2-year service contract that is only good at their location, so I've always taken it them for service. They won't schedule service appointments, and have a "drop it off and we'll call you when we're done" policy...

Looking for new Comms - what do you use?

I've always had problems with helmets putting pressure on my forehead. I bought my first bike and helmet from a friend who owned a Yamaha shop. When I complained about the pain on my forehead he had me bring the helmet to his shop. He had me explain where it was pressing on my head pulled the...

I wasn't riding, so no helmet involved. And yes, air cooled VW engines do have a distinctive sound.

    What I Saw Today

So I had some business to conduct at a county government office, so had to go into the center of town. I live a couple of miles North of town, and really avoid the center of town when possible. So I go take care of business, which after waiting for 30 minutes find out I don't have everything I...

    It's Heeeeerrrrrrreeeeeeeee!!!!!!! Navigation!

I use a 1 meter/3.3 foot long USB-A to USB-C cable from Belkin. I choose that cable because it has a heavy braided sheath over the cable, protecting it from anything it might rub on while riding. It's worked fine with Apple CarPlay.

Using an iPhone with BRP-Go Navigation - Review

Not as doable as the Google Maps App on my Macintosh computer. Enter a starting point and a destination and it plots a route. If you don't like it, drag and drop using your mouse. When you're done, click the "Send directions to your phone..." link and Poof! And there's still the whole issue of...

    Problem attaching photo

I'm suddenly channeling my father. He made these little wooden toys. It was a square rod with some notches filed into one of the edges, with a "propeller" attached to one end with a brad nail. He then used a round stick to rub along the notches. He called it a "whimmy whammy" but there are other...

Using an iPhone with BRP-Go Navigation - Review

Okay, so what I see here is that you use either Apple Maps or Google Maps to load a route to your iPhone, and then use the maps directly on the iPhone for navigation while riding? And it appears BRP GO! is as horrible as I thought it was. As for the connection/bluetooth/cable issues yes, it's...

Using an iPhone with BRP-Go Navigation - Review

I'm sorry my question wasn't clear. I have no problem with the iPhone having to be plugged into the USB port, nor with configuring Bluetooth for my phone and helmet headset. I recently purchased a 2026 Honda Ridgeline, and the first thing the salesman helped me do was to Bluetooth connect my...
