• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is Running Diesel Oil in Your Spyder such a good idea?

One can think, opine, or attempt to pull alleged facts out of whatever body orifices one chooses, but the only way to determine how oil performs is through laboratory analysis.

Is anyone using one of these Lifts to work on their Ryker?

IMO, don't care about type of vehicle, it's always easier to break lug nuts loose and final torque 'em with vehicle on ground.

Any recommendations/suggestions on Cordless power ratchet options for Spyder work?

The young gent who was at my home recently doing the annual service on our backup generator said almost exactly the same thing about his Milwaukee 1/4" drive impact driver and was particularly complimentary about its battery life.

Is the Radiator vulnerable to damage?

On a two wheeler one could hit a large jackrabbit, as I have done on my Spyder and sustain far more damage than having one of my KOTT grilles knocked out of position, namely serious injury to the carcass on the bike.

Motorcycle Dave here with a Drivers License question

I checked as deeply as NC DMV would allow because the motorcycle handbook is so old. Straight drivers license is virtually automatic, but the motorcycle endorsement requires a written and an off-street skill test. I let my VA motorcycle license laps back in the 70s and took the MSF basic course...

I tried to install the BRP drivers backrest...

Year and model of your Spyder would help. If you put that in your signature, it would help when you ask future questions.

Is anyone using one of these Lifts to work on their Ryker?

I have a later model, 50191, of such a Craftsman lift I use when I want to get the whole RT-S off the floor. From my own perspective although, like Mikey, I don't have a Ryker, before I attempted to lift the roadster with a lift like yours or mine, I would want to know exactly where the lift...

Little power in third gear and on top - any ideas?

I agree completely with what Peter says. You've a 2024, but how many miles on it? Unless you've more than 28K or have been running slop gas I see no reason for a fuel filter change or Sea Foam.

Any thoughts on Ground clearance on the RTL?

Ground clearance is not an issue. The problem is the individual(s) who do not examine the vehicle before purchase and recognize it is a low ground clearance vehicle and, therefore, speed bumps, driveway entrance & exit angles, and wheel blocks must be recognized for the gazillion different...

Brake pads and rotors backordered - does anyone know if there's any in the US I can get now?

Go with Bajaron's fully sintered EBC pads and EBC rotors. Those brakes will stop you like the hand of God!

    Finally got my Spyder!

You've a sharp looking new ride. You don't say what kind of maintenance records you got with the purchase so since it's new to you, the best thing you can do is go directly to the scheduled maintenance section, pg 91 of your operator's guide and look for the items listed in the section that are...

Do you have to pay for shipping a NAPA Oil Test, or is it Pre-paid?

Napa did not do the analysis. An ALS Tribology lab in Norcross, GA has done mine for years and still does them for Napa/Wix. The kit comes with multiple shipping address labels so you can ship to the closest lab. A year or two ago, I sent a sample to Norcross and didn't hear from the lab for...

Don't trust USPS with your oil sample!

I went through the tortures of the damned on my last Napa sample I shipped via UPS to Norcross, GA in January. After a week plus it was listed as stuck somewhere in the bowels of SC and I was accused by UPS of fraudulently shipping the sample. When I tried to learn both online and by phone to...

Had my Speedometer head replaced - is there any way of correcting the odometer?

This issue has arisen before, back as far as when I purchased my Spyder in 2014. At that time, there was no way to set the current vehicle mileage on a new instrument cluster, the obvious reason being to prevent unscrupulous individuals from reselling high mileage roadsters with doctored, i.e...

HELP! I threaded the transmission hex bolt! Will JB Weld help get it out?? What else might work?

Do you mean you rounded out the 6mm Allen head plug that is an OEM drain plug? If you rounded/stripped a hex head drain plug try vice grips.

My New Comfort Seat Plugs In Where?

Doug is in the bull's-eye. See where the pillion rider switch is on the bottom of my comfort seat. When the switch is connected, the plug and receptacle assembly is stuffed down into the rectangular hole.
