• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    A Friendly Maintenance Reminder

more like a $400 belt if you check the BRP parts site.

Has anyone used a 'Thru the dipstick' 12v Oil extractor on a Spyder?

My 2 cents - an oil extractor is never going to get all the gunk out that a good old fashioned remove-the-drain-plug oil change will get out. More bad stuff will drain out of that drain hole with the aid of gravity than any suction hose will grab, even if the 1330 engine only held oil in the...

Is this Krikit Belt Tension still too tight?

The belt for those costs more than the whole back wheel!

Any thoughts on this VSS Error & Limp Home Mode? Possibly the battery??

A carbon-pile tester is the only device that really shows the health of a battery. Those cheap China testers? Good landfill.

2015 F3S Oil Pump Failure, replaced, engine still ticking - any ideas on what component/s might have been damaged?

I'm wondering if the oil was ever changed. Spyder engines, like today's automotive engines, do not tolerate long oil change intervals no matter what the "book" says.

Is this Krikit Belt Tension still too tight?

The larger the rear pulley, the longer the belt, provided the front pulley is the same. Then we're in BUDS-buying territory. Not going to happen here unless I find a lot of change in the couch cushions!

Is this Krikit Belt Tension still too tight?

Just to let you know, the F3-S belt runs over $300 new. And different models had different sized pulleys and gearing, thus different belts.

Is this Krikit Belt Tension still too tight?

Are there any symptoms if the belt is too tight? Mine is set to about 180 now with the wheel on the ground, and the trike seems to ride smoothly and quietly.

What just happened? Two weeks old: Engine shut down, VSS Error.

Except that you'll lose backup memory in your cluster and if you have accessories.

Is this the VSS not working? Anyone experienced it before? What came of it?

I'm going to guess, but I'd say in reverse, the Spyder becomes a less stable delta trike. That's why it may be easier to flip it.

Is this Krikit Belt Tension still too tight?

I've had that dampener for a couple of years and left it alone. Are you talking about the bearing in the dampener?

Is this the VSS not working? Anyone experienced it before? What came of it?

Even if there was a "stupid" detector on the Nanny, it couldn't do anything about it!

New Coolant will not circulate after refill, completing successful flush and change - anyone else? Any ideas on what might be causing it?

All coolant, over a long period of time, can turn acidic and start to attack those surfaces it's meant to protect. That is why coolant should be changed at no longer than a 5 year interval. Also to those talking about air bubbles, when you add new coolant after draining the old, add it...

Is this the VSS not working? Anyone experienced it before? What came of it?

Brings an interesting question, has anyone flipped a Spyder, especially the later 1330cc ones? I haven't heard of anyone doing it except if the trike was in an accident. As for me, I've ridden rather aggressively and never so much as triggered the "nanny" lights let alone lift a wheel.

Is this Krikit Belt Tension still too tight?

Thanks, there doesn't appear to be any vibration or noise. I also have a belt tensioner that rides on the top portion of the belt run.

Rear tire mileage - How are you people getting 10,000 + miles on Kenda tires?

It's easy to take out the fender bolts (four of them on my trike) and swing it aside. I have a 2017 F3-S

Is this Krikit Belt Tension still too tight?

I've set the belt tension with the wheels on the ground, to 200 with the Krikit II. Is this too tight? The trike is a 2017 F3-S, and it seems to ride nicely.

Rear tire mileage - How are you people getting 10,000 + miles on Kenda tires?

I got 22k on the OEM Kenda tire, on my 2017 F3-S. It was completely gone in the center section though. I should have replaced it earlier. I never loaded down the bike or do any burnouts, but I didn't baby it either. Speaking of removing and replacing the wheel, for those who haven't done it, it...

Any thoughts about running Car Tires On The Rear?

Thank you! I have noticed the new tire has a better ride.
