• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is the 2023 RT's Trailer hitch plug Square or Flat?

I made a converter plug/extension to go from the bike 4-pin square socket to a Bushtec 6-pin. One just needs to understand the lighting circuits. The BRP harness comes with a power shedding relay so as to not overload the CAN-bus system.

How do you Jack up the rear tire to check for road debris in treads?

Once the back end is up, off the ground, one can use an inspection mirror to view the tire faces. Less bending and you won't have to lift the tire so high. The plastic fender inhibits access to the tire face. I use a motorcycle lift/jack, originally sold by Sears, with a 1500 lb capacity ( but...

Where can I get Givi monokey bags? And Mounts?

I have a set of Givi Monokey Trekker boxes on my 2015 F3-S. I made the mounts, design based on the F3-P police F3. It is set up for solo riding.

Anyone know where I can buy 2 sets of Vredestiein Quatrac in Oklahoma City?

If pressed, tell them it is a custom vehicle with "J" style rims. I've had tires mounted and balanced at a local Discount Tire in Stillwater, MN. No questions and the manager even thought the bike was cool. I removed and replaced the wheels from the Spyder. They couldn't spin-balance the rear...

Anyone know where I can buy 2 sets of Vredestiein Quatrac in Oklahoma City?

The whole MC argument is based on the "dark side" of using automotive style tires on a 2-wheel, leaning motorcycle. If I bought tires for the rear of a Harley-Davidson Tri-Glide, would they use the same excuse?

Anyone running or tried BUDS on MacBook (Pro)?

Finally took the time to create a dual boot on my MacBook Pro with i7 Intel chip (2017 release). Using Bootcamp, I created a 64GB partition on the internal SSD drive, loaded Win10, loaded the BUDS/BUDS2 software and driver, and all works when connecting to the MBP via a USB C male to USB A...

500 hp MONSTER on 3 wheels... This is SPYDER or steroids

Looks intriguing. Although, it doesn't seem plausible that 500 hp can be put to the ground using that chain in the final drive. Or perhaps it's change 3 chains per tire change, but then there will be the sprocket wear to contend with, as well. Wayne

Anyone Cut open a F3S muffler?

Yes, I have done that surgery. It's been a while ago, so I don't recall if I kept photos. From the inlet, the exhaust enters a chamber the full dimension of the muffler by about 3" axial depth. Then there is a baffle plate across the muffler cross-section. There are two perforated pipes...

Anyone with '20+ Spyders tried Front Fender Lighting fm ShowChrome & TricLED?

We are in the process of adding a '23 F3-L to the stable. The trade-in is a '18 F3-L that had Custom Dynamics Brightsiders in both the side and rear-facing positions. We have other F3s with ShowChrome and TricLED lighting. SpyderDeb likes the output of the old Custom Dynamics lighting better...

My Handlebars are slightly turned to the right. Any easy fixes?

Having read through the thread, your fix was going to be my recommendation (as I had just completed the same on our F3-L preparing it for sale). When the wheels are aligned, laser or otherwise, everyone that I know uses the handlebars for reference of center. Disassemble/reassemble the...

Lamonster Mini Floorboards Vibration/Buzzing - anyone else?

I have used Lamonster mini's and now have the long foot boards on my 2018 F3-T. I do not notice any extraordary vibration through them. The OEM style of footpegs, which came on your F3-S, had rubber facing where one's foot rested on them. Likely, you had vibration before and didn't notice it...

Is Changing the rear sprocket possible?

First, thanks, Peter, for explaining a search method: "rear sprocket", for me, did not yield useful information. r.e. changing sprockets. The on-board electronics, ECU, TCU, etc, are generic until a VIN is coded into the system. The VIN can be changed using a Megatech license, no? So if one...

Is Changing the rear sprocket possible?

Change rear sprocket from 79 to 89 tooth on 2023 F3-L I tried to search but didn't find any significant result. Can the sprocket and belt be changed without the nanny complaining? I know about ECU flash and throttle body manipulator thingies. I want to change the gear ratio back to the F3-S...

Anyone had Front Wheel Bearings wear out?

I replaced a front bearing cartridge on my 2015 F3-S, not due to bearing failure but changing out the spindle. I was trying to troubleshoot a brake run-out / wheel flange run-out. But the bearings were good. While chasing the run-out issue, as measured with a dial indicator, I found that flange...

    My '2024 Model Reveal' Review

Before I read or watch any review, I check the credentials of the individual or firm providing said review. Then I can decide on the validity or truth in the review. Some just want to be an influencer. Others want to generate a revenue stream. With a join date of 2018, the reviewer has likely...

Survey : who has had the newest (recall) front sprocket fail?

If one reads the data for Loctite 648, the cure is dependent on material (in this case steel), gap between fitted parts, and temperature. 50% cure strength is achieved in 1 hour @ 22C (72F) with a gap of 0.05mm (0.002"), with 90% strength @ 24 hours...

HHC (Hill Hold Control) - what am I doing wrong? Why won't it work?

I've never heard of the HHC or read it in the manual. I have an electronic version of the 2018 F3 Owners Manual and did a search for "hold" and "hill": both came up with no reference to HHC. The manual did go into length about starting and stopping on hills, using appropriate brake and throttle...

Old Harley Rider considering a Spyder - load limit concerns?

We have a GD Momentum 381-M. We are not full time RVers, so our space usage and requirements are different than yours. That stated, we travel with an F3-T and an F3-L in the 15' garage. I made wheel chocks and fabricated a super-floor tie-down to register, align, and tie down the two machines...

Removing and re-installing the seat with BRP Backrest in place: How difficult is it?

Why is this discussion in the F3 thread? Ya'll are describing seats that pivot: they were never on any of the F3 models. The passenger seat pops off via the ignition key turn. The rider seat is held on via two 10-mm headed bolts. Both can be removed with a passenger back rest installed. The...

For those of you with them, what Sheepskin cover care do you use?

We have Misty Mountain Sheepskin "pads". They have a liner on the back side like a tool box drawer would have: they just sit on the seat. They are stable while riding but they will blow off in a wind when parked. In the latter case, we tuck them in the passenger hand-holds or place them in trunk...
