• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2024 RT new issue - music going silent once the bike starts!!

I don't have an iPhone or a 2024 Spyder, but I've seen a similar issue on some friends' bikes. Do you by chance have BRP Go installed on your phone? If so, try uninstalling it and see if you can then get music to play...

How can I confirm s/ware updates on Pre-purchase checklist were done?

Just to help clarify this discussion, your Spyder has numerous computers (modules) installed, and they each have separate firmware and software codes. I know it's not practical for every owner to have BUDS/BUDS2, but, each dealer should have it. When you/or the technician, connect BUDS, (BUDS2...

No Reverse; Fault Codes: P0720 & P0740 - anyone else? Fixes?

I've had to change to reverse actuator on a friends' 2023 RT. You can verify its' operation yourself, (with a helper), by looking underneath the left hand side of the Spyder while your helper tries to shift into reverse. The actuator is mounted in a bracket that is at an angle, and is the lowest...

My solution to the Bajaron Ultra sway-bar 'clunk'!

I'd like to add my two cents worth to this thread. First off, let me say that I am a huge fan of ALL of Ron's products and have them on my Spyder. I have installed numerous anti-sway bars; both the original, and the Ultra. In my travels, I have seen two of the Ultra equipped Spyders develop a...

Anyone else got Poor brakes on their Spyder? Any fixes?

You are correct about everything except the floorboard. The breakaway floorboard is no longer on RT's 2020 and newer.

Are High Idle revs at start up normal?

You will probably need a BUDS2 diagnosis of the issue. Sounds like Throttle Position Sensor needs to be recalibrated.

Haven't had this happen before - Cannister pre-filter full of water!!

Today I did the 28k mile service on our 2021 F3L. I know a lot of people don't bother changing out the canister pre-filter. Well, imagine my surprise when the original filter was full of water! I don't mean a little bit, I mean FULL. I can't imagine how this much water was able to get in there...

I have bought numerous items from Lamonster Garage, but if I had to pick one item, it would be the oil change kits. They include a very good quality oil, filter, and all the needed o-rings.

Looking for proven Plastic repair methods?

look into a plastic welder/plastic staple machine. I have done numerous repairs on Spyder plastic body panels, including re-attaching broken-off tabs that the push pins go in. A decent setup will give you numerous staple options, including inside and outside corners.

Is there any way to tell if 2021 RTL needs a Software update?

Like most other computerized things, updates can apply to certain vin numbers only. IF a software/firmware update is required by your bike, it would show up when connected to, and be installed by, BUDS2.

Running 16" PPA Rims, any suggestions on where to get tires to suit?

Start here: https://www.tire-size-calculator.info/ Use your current tire size, and place different new tire sizes in the proper cells. This will give you a graphical representation of the size differences. Since tire size numbers represent a ratio, the graphics help to visualize physical size...

Do I really need to replace front & rear Brake pads together? Is BUDS necessary?

To answer the original question, no, you do not need to replace pads at all 3 wheels at the same time. I would recommend replacing both of the front wheels' pads together, though. Keeping the rear wheels' pads separate from the fronts. And, no, you do not need BUDS/BUDS2 to replace the brake...
