• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tires that will fit the RYKER

For the record, some of the original reviews on the Ryker said the 900 Ace was faster in the corners than the Rally due to better grip in the front. That was attributed to the different tires.

Why JASO MA2 in a Ryker?

It should be with the equivalent displacement of TWO Ace 900's!

Why JASO MA2 in a Ryker?

My first truck was a Ford Courier (Mazda) with an 1800 cc motor. It lacked the performance of your Suzuki

Can this be ordered from someplace????

The bar end mirrors were not working out for me so I changed it out to after market. I am very happy with the results. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q7M9R22/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1...

Ryker (not rally) rear tire options

I saw that but also saw that it has a 45K mile warranty when used on a car. I have no idea how that translates to the Ryker. On the other hand it looks like I will only get about 8K out of my stock Kenda so it won't take much improvement to justify the change and this tire is less than half...

What are the setting numbers for Rally front shocks?

Factory setting on the rally shocks was position 3. I was getting a lot of bounce on the front end and thought the 3 setting was too hard. After some experimentation I realized my shocks were bottoming out and that gave me the harsh feeling. I have subsequently settled on 3.5. For reference...

Ryker (not rally) rear tire options

SportsterDoc, this is the tire I am considering for my Rally model. The tread pattern is not quite as aggressive as the Kenda I have worn out but it is a compromise and hopefully will last longer. It might meet your needs in gravel if you can find it in a suitable size...

    Another nice road trip

I was in traffic in my truck one day when a guy in an expensive (convertible) sports car started coming up behind. He was in and out of traffic, switching lanes and trying to make sure everybody saw him. Then he made -- the move. Pulling up to a stop light he pulled in next to a cattle hauler...

Ryker (not rally) rear tire options

Most of the aftermarket 205/55-15's list an OD of 23.9" so I am guessing your calculation is right in the pocket. What I didn't know was tread depth new on the Kendas. These East Texas chip seal roads have really done a number on my rear tire. At 6,700 miles I am already down to the "rain"...

Engine oil capacity differences between 2019 & 2020?

Thanks Doc, mystery solved. We don't often get temperatures above 104 here in East Texas but when we do it is way to humid and miserable to ride. I will probably stay with 5W40.

Ryker (not rally) rear tire options

Does anyone know what the OD of the Rally rear Kenda 205/55-15 is when new? I can measure mine but my tread depth is down to 5/32 so I cant judge if an aftermarket tire will fit under the fender.

Engine oil capacity differences between 2019 & 2020?

Ok, I have seen several references on to 5W40 engine oil up to 104 degrees and some increase in viscosity above that. Where did that standard come from? I have been through the 2019 and 2020 Ryker owners manuals several times and have not found any viscosity/temperature range table. I had...

Ryker (not rally) rear tire options

So a question in general (no pun intended) about the gmax design https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tir...-as-05/p/34756 General gmax $94 from Discount Tire 23.3" OD, 10/32 tread Will the asymetric tread design on the rear be a problem? Will it bias the rear tire traction to one side and...

BajaRon swaybar/longer shocks - test ryde up to 13.000 feet

Thanks Chris, I am tempted to do some experimentation with my Rally. there are a bunch of options on Amazon for heavier capacity shocks in 400 mm

BajaRon swaybar/longer shocks - test ryde up to 13.000 feet

What is the standard length for the KYB front shocks on the Rally? Would a 400 mm shock lift the front end of the rally model?

Ryker "Down Shifting" while engine braking

If I understand the operation of the CVT correctly (which may be a dangerous assumption) the primary sheave pully is freewheeling and not bearing against the belt until engine RPM reaches 1800 thus no power to the secondary sheave pully and drive shaft. When coasting down hill with the throttle...

    Ryker Rally rear shock

As previously noted you have to loosen the jam nut first, then you can move the nut against the spring. My spanners would not fit the jam nut or main nut so I improvised. First I jacked up the rear end of the bike to lift the tire off the ground. This removed most of the tension on the...
