• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lifting the rear of RT swing arms with a modified HF MC lift - Wanted to share and get feedback.

Brainstorm (I think); why not make a fork lift out of a cheap motorcycle lift to lift the back of an RT without having to crawl around on the ground? This is a workaround I came up with, using a 20 year old Harbor Freight lift I wasn't otherwise using any more. The trick is to remove the cross...

Now the Pitbull lift has been discontinued, is there an alternative?

After watching this video from Pierre, I would have to agree the Pitbull is not just a standard ATV-style motorcycle lift. The frame is longer, for one thing, so it reaches far enough under an RT without having to remove the floorboard, as might be the case with smaller lifts. The wheels seem...

Lifting the rear of RT swing arms with a modified HF MC lift - Wanted to share and get feedback.

400# on the rear, so something like this lift/stand on Amazon could handle the weight. I'm not sure you could get in close enough to the axle to gain a purchase.

Lifting the rear of RT swing arms with a modified HF MC lift - Wanted to share and get feedback.

I think the motorcycle stand/lift you're referring to would be beefy enough, but the RT axles don't extend past the swing arms, so I don't think it could work https://www.amazon.com/Motorcycle-Wheels-Capacity-Adjustable-Swingarm/dp/B0FZC3NK3P?th=1

    That's a good question. It's 400#. See picture.

Now the Pitbull lift has been discontinued, is there an alternative?

I considered a lift table, but decided against it because space in my garage is at a premium and I couldn't imagine having to deal with that big, cumbersome item for long. @hogmemberisold has a good idea, for sure. See post in thread 'Lifting the rear of RT swing arms with a modified HF MC lift...

What lift are you using to lift your 2023 RT?

Well, most of these threads involve recent info about lifting the RT. See if that helps. Also, in the years I've been on this forum, there have been no new developments in lifts or techniques for getting the Spyder safely off the ground to work on. Keep that in mind...

Sliding off floor lift (GAH!) - What do you do to keep your Spyder from sliding off the jack?

A picture would help understand this better. Thanks. This is very good advice, I think, about using (any brand) ATV-style motorcycle lift for simple lift of a Spyder, then securing with jack stands. The problem is finding a lift with a minimum height less than 4", to clear the undercarriage of...

I built support blocks to raise the Spyder for oil changes etc.

I like the way the tire nestles into the gap between the two top 2x4 pieces.

Now the Pitbull lift has been discontinued, is there an alternative?

Yeah, now, ya see, that block of wood is just too low tech for me. Maybe someone makes a titanium one... That's an impressive bit of kit! I like the idea of the rail, but how do you obtain enough clearance to get it under the bike?

What's the best way of Lifting a 2021 RTL to work on the Sway bar?

I always stabilize my Spyder at the front using ramps, jack stands or a stack of RV leveling pads under each tire.

What's the best Can Am Spyder lift?

That's intriguing. I've not seen that one from HF before. I like the concept; very much like the Big Blue, except that one uses a screw jack. Worth checking into. Thanks

3 point secure lift for Spyder under $150

After messing around with other solutions, and not wanting to spend upwards of $2k on a lift table, I thought I'd try these inexpensive screw jacks. The two for the front are standard automobile jacks rated at 3000# each and come equipped with their own ratchet wrench. $30 each...

What's the best Can Am Spyder lift?

This one https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?141831-J-amp-S-Jacks-Motorcycle-Jack-Lift The HF, Craftsman, Sears ones are NOT stable enough and you will need to use jack stands before wrenching on the bike.

RIP Sonny Barger, a true American icon

Sonny Barger, biker outlaw and founder of Hells Angels, dies at 83. For decades, he was the public face of a nationwide counterculture tribe of bearded, denim-clad road warriors memorialized in literature and film. trike drive on lift

    Harbor Freight motorcycle lifts

:agree: I just use an aluminum hydraulic floor jack and then secure it with jack stands (at least 3). I still use the HF motorcycle for my 2-wheeler and other tasks in the garage though.

    Harbor Freight motorcycle lifts

What I found is that this type of lift for a Spyder gets in the way of just about anything you might want to do on the underside of the bike because it's so bulky. And if, for instance, you're lifting it to work on the wheels, front or back, any jostling of the bike is going to set everything to...
