• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    License plate frames for spyderlovers.com

Did you look at this page? http://www.licenseplateframe.com/tt/browse/?cat=16&TTSID=2e1799fb2e603f0b4bf8ba6849e3a04c I just ordered mine ... in Red with black letters. It should look something like this.

    Resurrection...looking for Goldwing quiet...

Quiet pipes I realize that this isn't the usual request, but I would also be interested in a "whisper quiet" sound on my Spyder ... the way it sounds with my full-face helmet and earplugs. Otherwise, between the muffler, road noise, and wind, the noise is overwhelming and unpleasant without...

    Florida Newbie

:congrats: on your new Spyder. I am in Tampa and ride around the area ... backroads North of Tampa, into Pasco and Hernando counties, trips to Clearwater and St. Pete, and down to Anna Maria Island last weekend. I haven't met up with the Hooligans yet, but follow their adventures on this site.

    Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011

2011 Shocks and Evol Swaybar Sounds like you are answering the question I posted on another thread. I have a 2010 RT-S with the front shocks at 4 and tire pressure at 18 (front) and 28 (rear). I recently installed the Evol Swaybar and wonder if adding the 2011 shocks would make a noticeable...

Utopia Backrest I avoid riding in the rain when possible, but I haven't had any problem with water getting into the seat.

changing rts 2010 front shocks to 2011 shocks

2011 Shocks and Evol Swaybar I have a 2010 RT-S with the front shocks at 4 and tire pressure at 18 (front) and 28 (rear). I recently installed the Evol Swaybar and noticed a definite improvement in cornering with less body roll. I just wonder if adding the 2011 shocks would make a noticeable...

    Fronts Shocks Setting

Front Shocks setting and Evoluzione Sway Bar I have a 2010 RT-S with the stock front shocks set at 4. I would like to reduce the body roll in turns a little more and wondered what might work best. I just purchased an Evoluzione Sway Bar. Would you suggest that I leave the shocks at 4 when I...

    A "Low-Tech" GPS Mount

GIVI GPS Holder I bought the GIVI GPS Holder from HelmetHead Cycle.com for $65. Shipping was free and it arrived promptly with no problems. I have had it for a while, and the quality is very good. It is well-suited to the large handlebars of the Spyder, and it does not move around during a...

    A "Low-Tech" GPS Mount

At first, I used a different sun shade and it made very little difference. This one is larger and is made of a flexible plastic, so it is firm. It is about 3 times larger than the previous shade I tried and really does help. Apparently, it is also used as a shade for small DVD players and laptop...

    A "Low-Tech" GPS Mount

I already had a Garmin 255w GPS and chose a low-tech option to mount it to my Spyder. It consists of a Givi GPS Holder, a GPS sun shade, and a 12-volt extension cord from Radio Shack. Total cost = $100. It is weatherproof, easy to read (except with direct sunlight on it), glove-friendly, secured...

    Floorboards and Highway Pegs

Seal FloorBoards I want to make one other comment about the Seal FloorBoards now that I have a chance to ride again as the weather is warming up here in Florida. Aside from making the ride feel much more comfortable, I am surprised that they also help me when I turn corners. Since my feet are...

    Floorboards and Highway Pegs

Seal FloorBoard Photos John posted 2 of the FloorBoard photos on his website, but I will post the 4 photos that I have so you can see them from different angles. The first 2 pics are on the left side, and the last 2 on the right side. The finished version of the boards looks like they could...

    Floorboards and Highway Pegs

Seal FloorBoards I recently installed the Seal FloorBoards on my RT-S and am very satisfied with them. I chose the Seals for these reasons: 1) I was looking for floorboards, not highways pegs. 2) I liked the idea that the Seals do not require me to make permanent alterations to the bike and...
