• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    advise please

    If you are indicating the ones with the raised pin in the center they do not have to be removed to get the panels off, they hold a pin that goes into a rubber grommet to seciure the panel. these just pull out,be careful not to lose the grommet. The manual describes how to remove the panels...

    they are called "torx" bits, you can get an inexpensive set at any hardware store either to fit a ratchet or screwdriver types.

    Want to kill a few hours.....Change your oil

    If you start the Spyder and the sensor does not get pressure in 5 seconds it goes into "limp mode". After an oil change I start it and let it run 4 seconds then shut it off and restart while watching the oil light. It usually goes out 2nd or third time and no codes or limp mode to deal with.

    Read this thread and had a few responses :D "Derogatory posts" Probably found more negative posts as a percentage of owners here than on any motorcycle forum I've read! Especially on the RT early on. I believe it is because the Spyder is so new that there are not many sources of good information...
