• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    BRP Sat Radio ?

Funny, I always thought the purpose of a forum, was to provide a free and open platform for the members, all members, to provide their views and opinions. Apparently, that's not true on Spyderlovers forum. I don't believe there is anything about my post that is directly encouraging anyone to do...

    BRP Sat Radio ?

Check with the Source If you want to know what it cost for SiriusXM radio, I would suggest you check with the source: http://www.siriusxm.com/ourmostpopularpackages They have many different packages. I like the "Family Friendly Select" package (listed under Additional Options and Specialty...

    windshields

Cee Bailey's I have heard good things about this company for motorcycle windshields. I have never used them, but other people I know have. Not for a Spyder, but for other bikes. For Can Am, they only do RS windshields - nothing for the RT's yet. http://www.ceebaileys.com/can_am/index.html

    Baker Built Air Wings

Looks Great! Those look great. Definitely the right color choice for your Spyder. Can't decide if I want the same color for my Yellow Spyder, or if should go with the clear ones. I'm leaning towards the smoke.

Couple questions about cost of adding (2) accessories to brand new RT

Labor Cost vs Parts Cost The dealer I buy from generally won't deal much on service dept. labor because that's a "different side of the business". But they are always willing to deal on the cost of accessories added to make a sale. The BRP backrest can be easily added by the customer, if...

Suggestions For BRP Concerning Future Models

Suggestions Those are some good suggestions. Here are mine: Move the rear tire air-valve to the opposite side of the rim (away from the belt sprocket) It's great BRP finally came out with their own driver's backrest - now make it adjustable like nearly all the aftermarket products. Also make...

    Would you install or return?

Take it back I would definitely take it back to the dealer then. With as much as those backrests costs, I would want it flawless!

    Would you install or return?

Shipping Claim If this was shipped to you from BRP, BRP will most likely tell you to file a claim with the shipper. For that, you will generally need the shipping container, and ideally, pictures of the container as it was on arrival at your location, before it was opened. I've been down this...

    Changing radio presets

No way to reset According to my dealer, there is no way to reset or erase all of the existing presets. You can only over-write as others have already indicated. I also remember reading somewhere, that it is easier to over-write the presets, once you have filled-up all the empty ones...

    Shake

Wheel Balance I just had the same issue on my new 2013 RTS. Told service about it when in for my 600 mile service. The tech found 1 of the front wheels was 3/4 ounce out-of-balance. He rebalanced, and my shake/wobble is now gone.

Info about the RT adjustable deflectors

Haven't noticed any hot foot I've had the adjustable deflectors for just a week now, but haven't noticed any difference around the right foot. But I was curious about other peoples comments about that. On my 2013 RTS, the "blow hole" as you call it in your video, that whole area is sealed off...

    My RT is Jacked Up!

Black-out and the gargage! You just didn't give us enough time to notice the blacked-out parts. I noticed it right away - well right after I noticed that your garage looks more like a doctors office!

    BRP Side Deflectors

Installed the new BRP adjustable Side Air Deflectors yesterday. They seem to do a nice job of pushing more air toward me while riding. I got the "clear" version. They also come in Chrome. They have 3 fixed positions: Fully Closed, which is equivalent to the original, fixed deflectors...

Manual tranny clunks too For what its worth - the manual transmission (SM5) clunks too, when going from Neutral to First. (especially if I forget to pull in the clutch :opps:)

    RT in crosswind

Front tire pressure I know several others have said your tire pressure is about right. But I had similar issues with cross-winds on my '13. I lowered the front tires to 14.5 lbs and I noticed a drastic improvement when encountering cross-winds. For me, this helped.
