• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    BEADS FOR SEATS

Irish, Can you tell me what size you have on your seat? I found the sizing chart that says it should be 14"x14" for the rider, but yours looks to be more triangular? Maybe it's just the camera angle. Thanks, Skidz

    Service Bulletin: Belt Tension

Scotty, Thank you for your reply. I plan on lifting the wheel to get the readings, and doing it in at least 2 or 3 places, so we're good there. I understand when you say that it's not a direct correlation between the two types of gauges being used, but I figure that if I get pretty close...

    Service Bulletin: Belt Tension

I'm about to go buy the Gates gauge, but I'm getting some odd numbers when I convert Newtons to lbs. Everything I have found using online conversions says that 450 Newtons equals about 101 lbs. But, looking at the pictures Lamont posted, at the bottom it clearly shows that someone wrote in 450...

    day runners

Thats what I did, let more air through. I thought it looked a little too "busy" with all 6 lights going, so I removed the factory fogs. This ought to let it breathe a bit better and stay cooler as well. I had some slack in mine, a few inches, going up and over the A arm. Like you, I could...

    Factory fog light removal

Hey folks, I just ordered the Day Runners, and I was wondering if someone could explain the process of removing the factory foglight kit. I would rather use those openings for air intake, and for me, 6 lights up front is too many. This is on a Phantom, so I never had the bike without the fogs...

Any Suggestions for Tail light on the Sports Rack

Have you considered a flexible led strip? Maybe one that would follow the lines of the backrest, or go around the sport rack? Seems like it would be pretty easy to tie in, and I think it would look good. Skidz

    New relay kit from Evoluzione

I'm wondering, I have an 09 SM5, which has the four small relays in front. Yet the webpage posted doesn't have seem to have that difference, only the difference between the SM and the SE. I was thinking that all the 09s had the four smaller relays as opposed to the 08s with the 3 small/ 1...

    UP & OUT MIRROR EXTENSIONS

Have them and love them. The only slight issue I have with them is that now I have to position my mirrors all the way down and pulled to the inside. If the mirrors had any less adjustment, I would have been looking too far up and to the outside. As it is, it just barely makes it. Still, it...

DYNA BEADS... Does anyone use this product?

Bill, I don't quite understand the "how" of these products, but I can tell you they work. In my 109, I removed the wheel weights, added the Dynabeads, and it made an already smooth ride even smoother. Same thing with the Ride-on for the spyder. The Dynabeads folks have a pretty good video...

DYNA BEADS... Does anyone use this product?

Used them in my M109R, worked like a charm! I use the Ride-On in the :spyder2: , since it adds the benefit of flat prevention and they are a site sponsor. Skidz

key ring hole in spyder key

Key with hole I did this the other day, mostly to make it easier to hang on the hook at the house. I used a 1/16 bit, and the smallest keyring I could find. Works like a charm, no problems at all.

    Power Commander vs Juice Box?

Power Commanders are much more precise and flexible then the JB. Most add-on boxes only add fuel to the curve, a PC allows you to add some here, and take some away there. And, it allows you to tailor the amounts throughout the RPM range. I don't know the specifics of the one for the Spyder...

    2009 Phantom Good Price??

Tom, you're correct on the title designation. Although the Phantom is purely a cosmetic upgrade, I think it's cheaper this way than if you bought all of the parts, and then had the dealer install them. Skidz

    PSI For Tires in General

As Black Widow stated above, tire pressure depends on your preferences and riding style. I ride quite agressively, so I have my pressure on the high end of the scale. I am also still on stock tires. The sweet spot for me I have found is 19 for the fronts, 30 on the rear. I would not go to...
