• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mods on my RS-S so far!

Did you build the rear seat cowl or is it aftermarket? Looking really good... I hope to own an RS-S soon too.

Looking into the future of the RT

When? Understand that you can't say anything yet Lamont, but can you tell us when you'll be able to spill the beans?? Can you confirm if that time is next month or not? My first Spyder purchase hangs on this information and the anticipation is killing me.

Take a walk on the BRIGHTSIDE!

BRIGHTSIDES look like a great product and a very classy way to add lights and safety! I plan to purchase a Spyder next month once we know what is on the way for the 2011 models. It's going to have to be good to beat the '10 RS-S I have my eye on now. I'll be ordering as soon as that decision...

A Lift for Spyders and Motorcycles

Thanks for the info. Matt. I'm not asking about getting the rear wheel off, so much as if removing the weight of the rear wheel makes everything so front heavy the the stand and Spyder might fall over forward while it's raised up? The feet of the stand come closer together (and toward the...

A Lift for Spyders and Motorcycles

Hi Matt, Given the forward weight distribution of the Spyder, do you feel the lift would be safe and stable if the rear tire was removed while raised to the top? Another way to ask is... would rear end dis-assembly (weight removal) make it too front heavy for good stability? Thanks, Tim

    My other passion - gyroplanes!

My Passion Too... Hi Rando, Gyroplanes are a passion of mine too! Attached is a photo of the Vancraft RotorLightning that I used to own and fly before an inner ear problem left me permanently grounded a few years ago. Vancraft has since been renamed SportCopter and they still operate out of...

    Washington Service/Dealers

THANKS! A big THANK YOU to those who have posted in the last couple of days! I figured you guys had to be out there simply because Lifestyles told me they were selling 2-5 Spyders a week and some of you had to be SpyderLovers. Good first-hand feeback, thanks again for taking the time to post...

    Washington Service/Dealers

It's really good to hear that the local dealers appear to be doing a good job with the service work on these complex machines! Finding competent Can-Am techs and dealers who care about their customers has been my biggest concern prior to this purchase. Thanks for taking the time to provide the...

    Washington Service/Dealers

IWN2RYD, Thanks for your feedback and information about Clem's and Paulson's dealerships... having your direct experience providing a recommendation helps put my mind at ease a little bit. My closest dealership is Lifestyles Honda in Burlington but I do not have any feel for what the service...

    Washington Service/Dealers

I'm getting closer to purchasing an RS-S and would like to hear from any of you who have worked with Washington dealers or those in neighboring states... I'm particularly interested in finding a really good service department who knows what they're doing, is straight with customers and knows the...

    Spyder Patch Coming Soon

Very nice patch design! :agree:with the above, the spider does not add, it takes away from the class of the design. I understand that this is personal opinion though too. I hope to own an RS-S in the future, any chance that you'll offer it in white? Thanks for the opportunity to provide...

    Left Blinker

In automotive applications a fast blink usually indicates that a lamp is burned out and needs to be changed... the flasher is designed that way. Take a look at the other lights and see if you have one out. Tim

    Steering issue = yikes !

Third DPS?!? Hey Doc, Since you're working on your 3rd DPS... Could it be that you have an alignment problem that is making the DPS work overtime and going out, or do you think you're receiving original DPS units and seeing the original type of failure? Is the recall replacement unit upgraded...

Common Dealer Set-Up Mistake?? Milage/Gas Smell

Common Dealer Set-Up Mistake?? Milage Improvment/Gas Smell Another thread (about rear fender brackets) linked to this tips page from the Australian Spyder Ryders: http://www.spyderryders.net.au/tips.html Just about at the bottom of the page is the following section about the Ambient Air...

    Rear Fender Support Brackets

Down that Australian Spyder Ryders page there is a very interesting section about the ambient air pressure and temperature sensor... apparently it is an easy miss by the dealer during set-up and it really effects the milage and gas smell issues. I have included it below. Have any of you found...
