• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    JL audio system installed

I completely forgot to take a picture of the amp, but as you said takes up very little space.

    JL audio system installed

My brother had a local shop install the JL audio speaker pods, JL audio amp, volume control, and aux jack on his RS-S last Friday. System sounds very good but was pricey at $1400 with labor and all components. He still needs to add a phone mount but for now he just plugs in the aux jack and lays...

    First Parts Ordered

Hahaahha.... I hear you on the function over form thing... I road my bike for two months and thought "I can't put a tall windshield on the bike because it will destroy the look". Well I'm right there with you now because after my first 200+ mile trip I was ordering a taller windshield. I looked...

2013 RS and RS-S handlebar spacer

So does nobody have or work in a machine shop that would be willing to try and machine a spacer for the new steering stem? It looks like it would be very easy to make with the right tools.

2013 RS and RS-S handlebar spacer

So I've really been back and forth on the RS-S to ST-S handlebar swap lately and this got me thinking. I wish I could rise them up about and 1" to 1 1/2" more and in the past they sold a spacer block. So I went back to ProCaliber's exploded view of the steering stem and it looks like it would be...

Here are the pictrures from my recent charity ride

Thanks for the pictures and thanks for putting together a great ride! Please tell the chase car operators that they were awesome and don't think we would have made it without them. The drinks and fruit were just what was needed on a hot day!

    Right/Left turn preference?

I prefer right hand turns as well. For me it is much easier to control throttle and dip to the outside of the road "inside of the turn on right hander" . On left hand turns the throttle is much further away and you are dipping toward oncoming traffic.

Anyone with the Smooth Spyder backrest?

Any chance you would share the install directions for this unit so I could get an idea how involved it would be to self install?

    New Calsci tinted shorty

Thanks Carl! I think the tall shield will help balance out the tall handlebars when I finally get around to swapping them out. Don't forget to update us on your bar swap from ST to RS when you get done!

    Wind & Head Shake

I haven't rode in the winter yet with the spyder but I was going to look at getting some heated gloves. I think I would be happy with some battery powered gloves since I probably won't ride in very cold weather anyway living in Texas.

    New Calsci tinted shorty

Well the trip went well and I really like the windshield. Did very well at keeping the wind off the body and very little helmet shake. We did the first 200 miles on the hwy at about 70mph. We did the last half on the way back from Austin on the hwy at 80mph to 100mph..lol.. My neck was sore from...

Tri Axis Adjustable Handlebars on RSS

She has an RT so the install would be completely different than on an RS-S. so far only one person has made the change on a 2013 RS-S and he went from the stock bars to the ST-S bars. They bolted on but the plastic covers that bolt on the under side of the bars had to be trimmed down to fix the...

Anyone with the Smooth Spyder backrest?

I was looking for a backrest and found the carbon black BRP unit but my wife about hit the fan when I told her it would cost $750 for both parts required to put it on. The only other option I see if the Smooth spyder backrest or buying a new seat with the passenger backrest option. One thing...

    Wind & Head Shake

We just did 425 miles yesterday and my new Calsci tinted short windshield worked great! I wear a Vega Summit 3.0 Vcom helmet which fits very snug and is by no means the top of the tier helmets. I think you need some clean wind hitting the helmet to prevent the bobble or you need no wind at all...

What is carbon black color on can am?

So if you had it to do again would you have bought the matte black rack and backrest so that it would match the matte black bike better? If the color matches our handlebars and footpeg supports then it might look pretty good on the 2013 RS-S.

What is carbon black color on can am?

I was looking for a brp backrest for the wife and found several places listing the carbon black in stock. I was originally thinking I would go with matte black due to the color combo on my bike being mostly matte black. I spoke with a seller and he said the carbon black is a very flat black but...
