• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Why can't people keep negative opinions to themselves?

Incredible... Referring to the original post on this thread.... Isn't it amazing how these rock solid opinions from someone who has never been on a Spyder. His friend told him how dangerous it was and most likely came to that conclusion after riding the thing 1/4 mile or less up the street and...

    Thought for the day.....

The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

Annoyed by people asking how much $$$$ ...

Questions vary.... I've had questions that vary from something along the lines of... "Hey..I hear those things are hard to steer, what did that overgrown snow mobile on wheels cost you?"... If that happens, I just give'em the old stink eye look.. that generally translates in any language into...

Anybody have trouble w cruise control

My cruise Control switch Failed Obviously it's always good practice to check the common sense things first, ie. switch position, micro-switches on clutch lever, (SM5), and brake pedal. As Scotty pointed out, throttle position and movement doesn't trip the CC. If I'm not mistaken, limp mode will...

    Water in instrument cluster

Just for more information.... I had water on the inside of my instrument cluster lens. The dealer replaced it. After they removed it, I was able to examine it rather closely and it is possible to pop the lens off making it possible to clean or dry the inside.. Len

Is the RT stable at highway speeds?

My problem summed up in a few words.... Being a retired aeronautical kind of person.... Four years in Navy flying and 34 1/2 years of airline flying.. I suppose my mind set is way above the posted speed limit from the git-go. Something about feeling the "Need For Speed"... Guilty as charged on...

Is the RT stable at highway speeds?

Wow... We must be in the minority.... Kim & I both only have around 14,000 miles on our RT's, So we have sort of gotten our minds wrapped around them comfortably, so to speak. We cruise on the super slab at 80 - 85... consistently. We have had our 2010 RT's, no Elka's, over 100 mph several...

    SM5 2010 RT Won't shift

Update... I was told today by my dealer service department that major Spyder surgery is required on my machine to fix the shifting problem. The engine will have to be pulled out and the transmission gone into.. OMG... That will be the 3rd time my clutch/transmission is being opened up...

    Rear tire wear

My OEM rear tire was finished at just over 12K miles, with it's lifetime pressure @ 28psi. After doing some serious research on this site and others I decided to switch to an automotive tire, a "Toyo Proxes 4 A/S 225/50R15".... About 1/2 the price of the OEM and hopefully twice the tread life...

HOW DO I GET THE CENTER CAPS OFF FRONT WHEELS?

Front Wheel Cap Removal I agree with Docdoru and Y rider.. However... be very careful as you remove them. I broke one of mine and had to order a new one.. The little ears that hold them in place are somewhat fragile... When I replaced them I put them both in warm water to make them more...

    OEM Muffler Rattle...2010 RT

Good information I am confident that my dealer will stand with me on this muffler issue, however, if there is any question, I can use these posts as verification that mine isn't an isolated issue and that other dealers and BRP have stood behind the warranty fix...Thanks for all the input. This...
