• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Kon Tour Seats

I had one on a BMW K1200LT briefly. I hated it. Everyone is different, but my butt rests best on Ultimate seats. I've had 3 so far.

Anyone have the Can Am Adjustable backrest on their F3-T ?

Sounds like it is probably the way for me to go. Thanks for the information on this, I really appreciate it! I'll have to check out the cannonball seat also....

Anyone have the Can Am Adjustable backrest on their F3-T ?

Thanks for the picture! Does the backpad move backward and also up and down? I can't seem to find any information about the movement. From the two knobs I'm guessing that is the case.

Anyone have the Can Am Adjustable backrest on their F3-T ?

I'm looking for more room for my wife and I, and I've tried the Smooth Spyder backrest, which didn't give us enough room. I've thought about the MBL Innovations rack with a top box but I'm not sure that will be comfortable for a long distance ride. The Can Am adjustable says it gives the...

    Schuberth C3-Pro wearers...

I use a Shoei Neotec that has the Pinlock shield that attaches inside the regular clear shield. I remove it in the summer, but in the fall through until spring I keep it in. I especially noticed how well it worked in the cool, rainy mountains last fall...no fogging up whatsoever. Of course, YMMV.

    HONDA's ENTRY

That bike, with the DCT, is not bad. Not sure how it is going to push that big front end around though. And yes, it does have a chain, no shaft. I had one for about a year and enjoyed riding it around locally. If they would just put that DCT in the Goldwing now.......

    Mounting GPS

Good job! I've done that with my last two RTs.

    F3T vs RT Limited - 2-up riding

I've had the highway pegs on a previous RT and they don't give me ability to stretch out that I'm looking for.

    F3T vs RT Limited - 2-up riding

Are you using the Can Am adjustable backrest for the passenger? It is supposed to provide more adjustability, which I assume adds to passenger room.

    F3T vs RT Limited - 2-up riding

I currently have a 2014 RT Limited that my wife and I ride. Our touring is 2-3 trips per year, pulling a trailer. Each trip spans 4-5 days and generally covers about 1000 miles. The rest of the miles we put on are usually day trips of 150-200 miles max, sometimes just around 100 miles and a few...

    Freedom Trailer Liner

It's a plastic lining piece, not really flexible like carpet would be. It is grippy and helps hold stuff in place. I'm happy with it overall. Easy to clean as it just lifts out and doesn't bend easily.

    Not so very long ago

I liked my R12RT the most of any of the bikes I ever had, including the Spyders. But, age does change things, and I'm happy on three wheels!

A new milestone for me today!

A happy day riding in the Ohio countryside with my wife. Looked down and just had to stop and get a picture. The best part is I've still got some vacation time available and tread left on my second back tire. I got this 2014 RT in mid-March last year and, now that I have some decent tires on the...

    New RT Rider

Welcome aboard! I can here from the BMW Sport Touring board in early 2012. I'm on my second RT, now a 2014 RT Limited. Quite different from my BMW R1200RT, but I have to say I'm very happy with the Spyder. I hope you find as much enjoyment with your new toy as I have with mine!

    Ultimate seat choice

I've been a fan of Ultimate Seats for a long while. I put one on my 2012 RT then moved it over to my 2014 RT the day I bought it. Can't say anything but good stuff about their seats and the comfort I've found. The company has been great to deal with also!

    Full or Half Cover?

I've found that the half cover is adequate for my needs when on the road. It covers the windshield, seat areas and top box sufficiently. It's easy to store also.

    Freedom trailer cargo net?

Anyone know if there is a BRP cargo net system for the new Freedom trailer? I'm looking for something to kind of section off some areas within.

Satin Finish RTL, how to clean and shine?

I like Dr. Beasley's. Cleans very well and leaves a nice flat finish.

How Valuable Is This Site? Read On....

I, too, traded in a BMW K1200LT on my 2012 RT Limited. After only having about a 5 mile test ride at another dealer, I had my 100 mile ride home and enjoyed every minute of it. No regrets for me, in fact I'm on my second one with a 2014 RT Limited that arrived early last spring in place of the...

2014 RT Tires at 5,000 Miles

Mine looked like that around 4500 miles also. Then shortly after was bald in the middle and replaced at 4900 miles. I hope the new one does better!
