• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Not talked about a lot

I had one many years ago. I saw it in the case at the local gun dealer, and that whole "Bond.... James Bond." mystique of the PPK convinced me that I had to have one. BUT.......I like a high tight grip on my handguns. Every time I took it to the range I ended up with two slices in the web of...

    Sanity check, please.

For me to ride that far (from near Hershey, PA) I need to get my seat problem fixed first.;)

I already took care of my leg problems for the most part with Seal floorboards. Now I'm trying to fix my sore butt problem. At this point I'm good for around a hundred miles before a break, but I'd like a seat that I can go fill-up to fill-up with, for serious trips.:doorag:

    Sanity check, please.

I've been in the market for a custom seat. Currently I'm running with the BPR 'Comfort Seat', which for me isn't all that comfortable. I've got a banged up left leg that doesn't bend all that well, so I need to be higher and farther back than the seat alone allows. Using a 2" closed cell foam...

    I'm getting really tired......

You might as well get used to it. It's gonna keep happening. I've only been on the road with mine since last June, and I must have had two dozen red light or gas pump conversations about the Spyder. It IS an attention getter, and the closest dealer to my home area is thirty miles away, so...

    Best Floorboards for me?

I can recommend the Seals. I wouldn't have been able to ride without them. My left leg is in bad shape and it would never have reached the peg location. Now I can stretch both legs out as far as I want.

    I will never ever

I've found that it helps if you get a running start on the final 3 square feet.

    Parking brake

So.... I guess I'll have to come up with some kind of chock-on-a-stick tool, since it takes me a few seconds to get off the bike. Those few seconds could mean drifting half way across a parking lot before I could get a regular chock deployed.:yikes: I already ride around with a set of crutches...

    Parking brake

2700 miles since June, and this makes the 3rd time I've had to adjust the parking brake on my 2012 SE5. Should I shut up and get used to it, or is there an underlying problem. Really sucks when you get to a destination and have to find an absolutely flat place to park.

    Oil Consumption

Since my first oil change at 600 miles, I've been checking the level every 300 miles or so. Each time it's been about halfway between the "full" and "add" lines, so I've added a few ounces to top it off to the full line. So now at 1800 miles I've used about a third of a quart in this puppy...

We are officially crazy! Ed's on chemo and...

Man, I thought I had it bad traveling 35 miles for my 3-wheel MSF class. Nothing in the panhandle at all? Wow! Two and a half times cancer survivor here. Ewings in left femur at 19 and bladder at 43 that recurred immediately and needed a different treatment regimen to evict successfully. Ten...

    Back in the saddle

Well, you have to get experience somewhere to be able to do the job correctly. Too bad your machine was his beta test device.:sour:

    Record Gas Milage?

My pant legs flap a bit more now, but I don't notice anything from the waist up.

    HolyCow! Nobody warned me.....

I tried several times last night to post pics in the same way I always have in the past, with no luck, before I gave it up. I'll try again a different way now.

    Record Gas Milage?

I'm getting 29 MPG measured over 3 tanks full since I removed the air deflectors that came mounted below the mirrors on my '12 RS SE5. I'm a big ol' boy though..... 250 lbs nekked. That can't help. I gained a mile per gallon by removing those deflectors.
