• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Electrical help...please!

Battery Tenders don't "charge"....they maintain the amount of discharge that occurs over time. I know that various makes of "tenders" may have different codes for their indicator lights, but I believe that the yellow light means that the tender is checking the battery, and that the green light...

    Hilton Head, SC

Hilton Head isn't motorcycle friendly. They're snobs. I like the place, but there are too many restrictions there. My preference is for Bluffton....Sun City Hilton Head. It's a great community! Hopefully within the next 5 years or so, I'll sell my log cabin up here in Vermont and move down there.

    why ride a spyder

I usually do 10,000 miles a year on 2 wheels. For the relatively short New England riding season, that's more than average. My wife always rode with me as a passenger. After a long day in the saddle, the Goldwing felt extra heavy when in traffic, and my braking suffered. Not wanting to dump the...

Tried EZ-Pass in Frunk without success

I have an EZ Pass windshield holder....it has suction cups and works just fine. I also use my jacket pocket as an option. Never had a problem.

    Resistor ...

If you have static in the radio, I'd suggest applying the brakes when the Spyder isn't moving. Do you still hear the static ?? If not, then it's just static electricity generated by the friction of the pads and the rotor.

    Waving etiquette

What's next??? A video on proper etiquette on taking a crap?? We do what we do -- I usually give a wave or a nod of the head....it depends on what I'm doing, where I am, and how fast I'm going. To me, a wave is an acknowledgement to another motorcyclist.

Most excited will be returning to 2 wheels next season .

For me, the Spyder is OK. It has it's place, and I guess I'm going to keep it. BUT.....and it's just a "but"....If I can get some money together, I'm going to get two wheels. My current wish list includes a BMW R1200 RT...or possibly a GS. Also in the wish list is a Suzuki V-Strom, MotoGuzzi...

    BRP XPS OIL VIDEO...

The video states that BRP "partners" with an oil producer to produce their oil, as we all know that no manufacturer "makes" it's own OEM oil. All we need to know is WHO makes the oil....and I'm sure that we can buy just as good, quality oil for a lot less money. XPS is prohibitively expensive. I...

    Installed Hitch Today

I didn't have to lower the brake caliper either. I think that the instructions were for the 2013 and earlier models. Did you have to tape the long pin to keep the end spacers on? I had to....I think that they could have made them fit better. It's a minor thing...but just something that I noticed.

    SPPYDERQUEST

The seat is nice......better than stock, but the backrest is GREAT !!! As far as the alignment......I believe that having it done is probably the most effective improvement you can do to your Spyder. I purchased a "dealer demo" with 1,000 or so miles on it. I wasn't really pleased with the...

Took a ride over to Lake George to check out the event. Only able to go today.....commitments for the rest of the week. Well, I checked out the vendors....not many, but those who were there were selling big ticket items. No junk here....just GOOD STUFF that you can use. Anyway, I checked out...

    new owner with riding issues

I know how you feel !!! I've been riding motorcycles for over 40 years, and ALWAYS the rider......never as a passenger. This year, I bought an RT-S. It's a different animal, for sure. My wife can drive it....but she's a noo-b up front, and I've sat behind her several times giving her "advice"...

Took a spirited ride up pikes peak 27 minutes 49 seconds

Sounds like a lot of fun. I went up it last summer with a bunch of Goldwingers on my 'wing. It seems like it took forever.....tons of traffic....all going slow.....lots of bicycles....lots of wind....and some idiot in a van blocking the lane while waiting for bicyclists. When I got to the top, I...

    Battery Tenders

When I had my RT-S at the dealer for the CB install, I purchased a Battery Tender cord and had him run it back and up underneath the seat. This makes it easy for not only the Tender, but my wife can plug in her Gerbing heated vest. AND, as an aside.........I tapped my trailer wiring harness into...
