• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Personal Profile

Try using the "Settings" screen... ...I'm by no means an expert in this area, but I recently editted my profile and had some of the same 'discovery' issues :gaah:. I finally found the spot to edit my info under the "Settings" link (upper right hand corner of your screen). Once there you will...

Tasian Ride Report #1...Breckenridge...Texas...Run with some friends

FM-4...and FM-5! It's great living out here near Weatherford. We live near FM-5 which is another great road to ride....and Bear Creek Road is an 8 mile run that's right outside our neighborhood that has covered roads (tree canopies), tight turns and sudden dips making for another great ride...

Tasian Ride Report #1...Breckenridge...Texas...Run with some friends

Thanks! I haven't had a chance to ride over in your area...I grew up in NorCal and have spent many days down in San Diego (worked a few projects over near the sub base). My brother has a Spyder and lives in Palo Alto...maybe one of these days we'll see you somewhere on Hwy 1 or 101...or...

Tasian Ride Report #1...Breckenridge...Texas...Run with some friends

Eating with Elvis... Ken's Chicken & Catfish offered a wide selection of...well, chicken and fish. The decor was pretty cool...1950's vibe with Elvis watching over your meal. We ate our meal and filled our ice teas 'to-go' drinks and headed back home. The ride was another leg of cool...

Tasian Ride Report #1...Breckenridge...Texas...Run with some friends

Lunch at the #2 place to eat in Breckenridge...Trip Advisor can't be wrong, right?!? One of the reasons I picked Breckenridge for our ride was because of the route. Another reason was the Frontier Days celebration...and whenever you go riding you need to eat at some good places, right? Well...

Tasian Ride Report #1...Breckenridge...Texas...Run with some friends

Frontier Days...why we love little towns in Texas (or anywhere else)... Frontier Days is a celebration like many others across our great country. Towns, heck, even them big cities, pick a weekend to celebrate something significant. Frontier Days celebrates life in the old west...funny how you...

Tasian Ride Report #1...Breckenridge...Texas...Run with some friends

Cross Roads Cafe to Breckenridge... The ride up FM-4 is a definite 'must do' if you're riding in North Texas. The road is littered with long sweepers, a few tight turns, and beautiful scenery. We road it up to Hwy 180 and took the 75 mph 'road' into Breckenridge. This was our scheduled stop...

Tasian Ride Report #1...Breckenridge...Texas...Run with some friends

Our first stop...Cross Roads Cafe... Our initial leg of the trip had great vistas and long curvy roads, mixed with some tight twisties. We used this trip to get our '3-legged-riding' style down...so, no photos of us riding. But here's the cafe...the food was pretty darn good! A cool shot...

Tasian Ride Report #1...Breckenridge...Texas...Run with some friends

Well, I thought I'd do a little ride report since we finally had a weekend where it wasn't raining and the missus and I didn't have 'other' plans. We are new to the Spyder world, but we've travelled to many places '2-up' on '2-wheels'. This was our first day trip on '3-wheels' and I'm happy to...

    Spyder RT Complete Frame replacement

Totally awesome build project! With your insight and skills you should make a dual sport 'Adventure Spyder'...would love seeing you trek to places the normal Spyder fears to go! :trike: Congrats on the build(s) and thanks for bringing all of us along for the ride!

    Newbie

Recent two-wheel convert...in Texas too! I agree with the other comments on the initial feel of switching to the Spyders. Read the post on the "Do's and Don'ts" for new ryders and remember to hold the handle bars 'very lightly' when you take that test ryde. Also, recommend you set the rear...

    'E' in the gear indicator?

I see the "E"... ...but only when I'm putting it in Reverse. It goes away once it locks in...now that I know what it means I'll watch it and if it persists will tell the dealer when I take it in for the scheduled maintenance.

    Radio issue...

...so I jump on the Spyder and I start my merry way to work. I turn on the radio and it's set to a station on a strange station on FM...74.0...I press the ">" button and it starts going up until it reaches 89.0 then sets it's self to 83.2. The station memory indicator shows Channel 1...I tried...

    BIG QUESTION

Can-Am helmets... An interesting thread. Has anyone here used (or is using) the Can-Am helmets? Their catelog seems to have some nice helmets and I was wondering if anyone on the forum has any experience with them. :dontknow:

    Rear radio controls not working...

Had the same question....and the dealer did too! After we brought home our Spyder we thought out passenger controller was broke too. Took it to the dealer and they said they would fix it...then realized there was nothing to fix. :yikes: From a marketing perspective you would think they would...
