• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    A new owner's experiences.

Thanks for the response Thanks everyone! All the input has been very helpful. Good to know that the shifting sound is normal, as going up or down gears is like shifting through butter on the SE6. Still have the "click, click" sound, but it seems to be less than before. If it doesn't stop...

I think I am at a croos roads

Please, speak your peace And peace is what you speak! I've been through some of what you talk about. We need to tell it like it is but call it as it can be. In this case there is a definite mismatch in his fit into the group he road with, but no cause to lash out at them for who they are...

    Air Pressure Guage

Check Our tool kit came tightly strapped under the seat. I could find no explanation of what tools it was supposed to come with or what they were for, except the tire pressure gauge, for which the owner's guide says - Pg. 134. under tire pressure, "For your convenience, an electronic...

    A new owner's experiences.

We've had our 2014 RT-s SE6 for about a month. Being new to Spyder's we are taking our time learning to drive it. So far we've figured out that 17 psi in the front is too low (what it was delivered with) and have put in 20 psi (as recommended by the owner's manual). The rear shock was set at...

What is the average mileage I should expect out of a rear tire?

Wear pattern? I thought that if the center wears first it was due to over inflation??? Wouldn't an under inflated tire wear the sides first, as there is not enough air to push the center in full contact???

    North Carolina Spyders

Add another pin to New Bern We bought our 2014 RT-S SE6 at the end of January. Just getting familiar with it now when weather permits. Hope to take some short trips this Spring and then trailer it North to our camp in Maine for the Summer. Always interested in hearing from other...

    ZORRO

A club for everyone! Let's see - we have the "Capt'n Morgan Club" for Cognac owners. So how about a Black Russian and a White Russian club? Or they could merge (there's strength in numbers) into the "Black & White" Club! But that's a scotch. Now come to think about it, the cognac does...

The wife is looking at the 2014 RTS auto, where to test ride & buy.

I'm feeling lucky We just bought our Black RT-S SE5 at Performance East in NC. Based on what others have reported, we got a really good deal! First, no freight or set up charges, Second $1,200 under list. Just added local tax and title fees, for an out the door for $27,804. As of...

    BELOW MSRP ON THE 14s

Mr. Lucky We did not pre-order but waited till the first shipments came into our area "just to check them out" But after all the good reviews and the slow arrival, we didn't want to miss the boat. When they did arrive at our local dealer we were ready. No shipping or set up charges and over...

    Newbie pulls the trigger

My wife and I have owned over a dozen 2-wheel motorcycles, but time has taken it's toll on my strength and balance. So we have been following all the good reports on the 2014 RT's and a Spyder was definitely on our bucket list - but their slow arrival in NC had us nervous that we wouldn't get...

    Not in the Showroom Yet

"Inventory? What inventory?" I've run into the same problem more times than care to remember! Many dealers use the word "inventory" do describe the full line of products they sell, but don't have in stock, but can order for you if your willing to wait for an unspecified period while it's...

    Quick 2014 Pics

Great looker, but.... I wonder how may Spyderlovers like the black wheels on the RTS as opposed to the silver or chrome wheels that come on the RT and RT Ltd? :dontknow: We're still waiting to see a 2014 RT here in NC and want to actually experience the machine before hitting the bank (legally).

    Okay SpyderLovers lurkers

Me too.... We don't own a Spyder yet either, but joined Spyder lovers last month for the weath of info available. We plan on getting a 2014 RT in the Spring, after actually seeing a new model and hearing about new owner experiences. My wife and I have owned 14 motorcycles in the past and are...

    Suggestions needed

No Critters Also try mint oil. We use it when winterizing our trailer in Maine. Put a few drops on a some cotton balls, drop in a zip lock bag and put a few small holes in the bag. Mice, chip monks, etc. hate the smell. It's not bad if you like mint!;)

    What's your preference?

Two wheels still in my blood I started riding bikes in 1957, and still like the feel of a curved road! But now that I'm older and realize I'm mortal, the lean angle is taken with a lot more caution. That's why we like the stability of the :spyder2: on gently curving rural roads with lots of...

    What's my Spyder worth?

No Sale I'm a new member and my wife and I are looking forward to my first Spyder. After looking at new 2012's and '13's we heard about the changes in the 2014's and decided to wait. However this will cost us at least $5,000 to $8,000 more if the new ones sell for list. Our local dealers...
