• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

the right to left movement while driven,,swaying inisde the lane

Every thing said is true, left and right movement is part and parcel of the Spyder experience, it freak me out in the beginning but have adapted my style to accommodate it. The camber of the road is a constant and every ryder needs to be aware of it. Un natural swaying should be checked but that...

    P1614 are back

Workshop guys are generally good but are not overly interested in the Spyder, they do the basic but do not spend time researching issues. If only they will be open to advice from us ryders, I am by no means a mechanic and have little desire to work on the spyder beyond basic stuff, but i am a...

    P1614 are back

The dreaded code is back, had lots of trouble with this on an long trip, three mornings with the code. Several attempts at starting and walking away and it would stop coming up. Dealer had a look on buds and made "adjustments". Last trip out doing about 300 km for the day, stopped the afternoon...

    Push pins

Those push pins gave me trouble a few weeks a go fitting the NBV highway brackets...actually asked the question here and got a heap of replies.....i found that one screwdriver push the pin skew so used two to pull the pin back far enough to get hold of by hand. Works a charm, then the outer part...

    GPS Options For the RT

The iphone motionx option looks good, which map do you use for roads, down loaded the app and it takes me straight as the crow flies and not on the road

do you wear ear plugs when not wearing a helmet?

I use disposable foam plugs, nice and clean. I dont like them in my ears but are much better than the alternative (which I already suffer from....tinnitus). I find that with no protection my hearing is affected for some five six hours after the ride where i struggle to hear people. Thinking of...

    How to?

Agree, the two hooks up front work against each other need some dexteritry to slip, hook and press at the same time.

    Highway pegs for 2012 RT-S

Got me the NBV's to...easy install...looks cool and works. What sold me was the fact that they were designed with the minimum impact to the Spyder, no drilling, cutting no modification.

    How to?

Thank you guys, i removed two pins without damaging a thing. Had half hour between jobs today and removed everything on the right and fitted the right footpeg, replaced all the plastic bits and it worked out well. So now need to find another half hour for the left side! And a five hour trip to...

    How to?

Tx, seen it, problem is that it starts at the point where the black deflector is of and the push pins is out. The nits and bolts of the install is fine, i think lamonster actually says that he started filming after taking those of.

    How to?

I am pretty handy with stuff, but there is two things that freak me out....pushpins and clips....i like nuts and bolts. Every time i remove push pins and clips they tend to stretch, break etc and never go back snugly. Want to install nbv pegs....question is.... What is the best way to extract...

    acknowledging other oncoming bikers

We were talking about ackn the other day and one guy asked why...do you ackn cars if you are driving in your car? He feels that riding a bike does not make you best mates and does not signify "membership" to anything that needs you to ackn other riders. Makes sense...I think. I am just a happy...
