• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Electrical isolator

I'm adding a trailer and need some info on an electrical isolator. Which one are you using? How difficult to install? I will appreciate any help/advice I can get!

    Stallion Trike...

What's interesting is that the price is about the same as the H-D trike!

    Getting a pull-behind trailer

Thanks! I just found that hitch, and you're right, they DO say it will not work with the bags. BUT if someone else has done it, I would really like to hear from them. The hitch, from the pic, does seem like it might work... with a little bit of adjustment, however.

    Getting a pull-behind trailer

Thanks, Lamonster. I was afraid of that. (I saw your trailer hook-up at the Homecoming, but I didn't spend enough time looking it over.) Did you wire up the trailer yourself? Much problem?

    Getting a pull-behind trailer

Yes, that is a very good hitch; I've heard good things about it. My question, however, is still whether or not that hitch, or any hitch, can work with my Givi bag setup. (And secondly, how difficult is it to wire up any trailer to the Spyder?)

    Getting a pull-behind trailer

OK, I'm ready to look for a trailer so I can take some serious long-distance trips. I currently have the Givi hardbag system attached and want to know what my options are for a hitch. First, is there a hitch that will fit with this, or will I need to remove the entire rack to mount a hitch...

    Kudos to NMN risers

I just had to add my accolades to NMN for the risers they produce. Received my well-finished, accurately milled, 3" black-powdered risers about a week before I was told they would arrive. Put them on yesterday; took about 2 hours. I already had the 1" riser installed by the dealer, so the...

How about a Spyder in 40mph winds!

Those of us who travelled up the NY Thruway for the Homecoming in June were moving at 75-80 mph through rain, and crosswinds exceeding 30-35 mph. Getting into Quebec, the winds were easily 40-45 mph crosswinds. The Spyders stuck like glue! Impressive!

    Hard cases for my Spyder

I have the Industries 7 bracket with included Givi hard cases. Do a search; these are durable, carry a lot, fit well, and look good on the Spyder.

    Pazzo Racing clutch lever

I've had the longer lever on for about a week, also set on 1. A GREAT improvement; well worth it for those with smaller hands.

CalSci Windshield Not Compatible with Can-Am Riser Block

I have the 1" riser and the CalSci windshield. I feel the benefits of the CalSci FAR outweigh the occasional bump to my knuckles; (then again, I don't do a lot of parking lot maneuvering.) I have ordered the 3" Magic riser, however, and that will even take care of that little problem.

    Winter riding Gear

When I ordered mine two days ago, it was listed as a one-day special. The website price was changed back to $143 yesterday.

Just got my new clutch lever

OK... I just removed the adjustment wheel. There are two pins on the lever; a large one and a smaller one. Both are held in place with circlips. You need to remove the circlip from the smaller pin. That will allow you to tap the pin out and remove the adjustment wheel. I found it easier to...

    Insurance in Massachusetts Help!

I live in MA and insured my Spyder through Commerce Insurance Company in April. My agent had no problem at all. Price was $472, without collision.

    New Windshield

I have the light gray and it's perfect with my silver Spyder. When I am seated properly, using a 1" riser, I am looking above the windshield, (as you really should be). If I draw a straight horizontal line from my eyes to a distant point, the top of the windshield is about 5" below that...

    New Windshield

Yes, I have that one, (and he said it is 3" taller than the touring windshield.) I like it a lot! In fact I had it on for the homecoming trip from Lake George to Valcourt and back again. That extra three inches is just enough. The rain was directly up and away because of the nice flip at the...

    Mel's Monster garage

I have Mel's windshield and it works well for me. I am 5'7'' and the flip on the top edge is enough to direct the airflow over my helmet. In fact, I had it on for the Homecoming, 800 miles total, and I was very pleased with it. The F1, that I also have, blocked too much air; good for fall or...

What's the best windshield to avoid buffetting?

Well, I HAVE that windshield and it is very good! Finish is excellent, looks good, and the fit is perfect! I've had it about two weeks and it is much better than the touring. Adds almost 4", has a flip at the top, and directs air flow about 4-5" over my head. (I'm 5'7"). Allows air around the...

    Aftermarket Grips

I recently installed Pro-Grip 601 Scooter grips. Nice shape, comfortable gel-type. Very pleased with them, and only about $12. I had to trim off the ends so I could use the caps that come with the Spyder, and also to prevent interference with the throttle. Took the OEM grips off using a long...
