• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Parking Brake was adjusted and now I have an issue--HELP!

Parking brake adjustment Sounds like they may have adjusted your parking brake too tight. You can try backing it off yourself. This video shows how easy it is. Good luck! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Mrlki5_l-8&feature=player_embedded

    Spyder hard to start....

I have an issue I haven't seen on a post yet (which of course doesn't mean there wasn't one). My Spyder (08 RS) runs great and I've never had any issues starting it. I had a major service done a couple of months ago and it's run fine after the service, until recently. But on 3 separate occasions...

My Spyder just left on a trailer

Two different steering issues? It seems like BRP may have a new problem. Prior to the DPS replacement, like many others, I had experienced the original steering issue where the steering would lock up and then break free with a hard push. In that case, you could actually feel it "break loose"...

    Headlight Adjustment

Problem resolved!!! Well, I finally had time this past weekend to tear my Spyder down enough to completely remove both headlight assemblies. It's a bit scary having so much of the bike scattered all over the garage, but I kept a log of each step of disassembly and how many screws and snaps were...

    RS - Throttle Lock

Another option... Here's another option...probably similar to some of the others, but worth a look. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/imagecatalogue/imageview/10431/?RefererURL=/search/?SearchText=spyder

    Should I park here???

And the answer is............drumroll please!!! Interesting! Some of your responses have been as cryptic as the parking lot!!! :yikes:By my count, 7 have said they think motorcycles CAN park there, and 8 of you have said NO (and some were pretty adamant!). But when I called the market, they...

    Should I park here???

I stopped at a supermarket the other day and while looking for a parking spot, here's what I see. So I know this sounds like a dumb question, but are they telling me this IS RESERVED for motorcycles, or since the area is obviously too small for a car, are they really telling us it is NO PARKING...

Oil Drain Plug Issue ... Solved!

Spyder part numbers I also had a problem with the links on their web-site so I sent them an email asking for the information. Tim responded almost immediately with the following: Rick, Thanks for your question! I just tried the search engine and it seems to be working. All Can-Am Spyders...

Thanks for the response. Sorry to hear about your femur and hope it all heals well soon. The CASE club already has some other rides scheduled and with the cooler weather coming, there will be lots of rides scheduled.....probably every weekend once it's cooled off a bit. You should check out...

South Mountain Ride Great! Once you're sure you can make it, it would be great if you would sign in on the CASE web-site and RSVP for the ride so they know how many to expect. They like to know how many folks to expect so they don't leave anyone behind in case someone is running late!:thumbup...

    Headlight Adjustment

Another update Ok. I tore the front end down today and saw exactly what I was up against. As expected, the dealer gave me bogus info. There's nothing stripped. But as I mentioned before, the bolt has popped out of the locking mechanism that connects it to the frame. The white plastic part was...

Look forward to meeting you. Sorry your wife can't make it. My wife will be riding with me. Since you're in Gilbert, I assume you'll meet the group at the Baseline meet-up? We try to keep track of how many will be at each meet-up location so we don't leave anyone behind. It's best to actually...

South Mountain Ride Now that the weather is finally starting to cool a bit, maybe some of us can get together for a ride now and then. The local CASE club is planning a ride Saturday, Sep 17th going up South Mountain and then over to RideNow Peoria for some free food and a 30 minute free...

    Headlight Adjustment

After a test ride last night, the lights are still a bit low. It's going to be 109 degrees again today so I doubt I'll work on it today, but then it's finally supposed to be dropping down to 99 Friday and thru the weekend so that will give me an opportunity to really work this issue. I wanted to...

    Headlight Adjustment

part missing... Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. But my left side is working and it doesn't have that white part either. I think that's just a slightly different design. It's not unusual for replacement parts to look a bit different than the original. I popped the black insert from the...

    Headlight Adjustment

The saga continues.... Ok. It's finally cooled off enough here so I could work on this again. But I'm still confused. I was able to adjust the left side ok from the back side thanks to Firefly's help, but the right headlight has pulled apart where the ball on the end of the adjustment screw is...

    BRP Spyder RS GPS mount

Good luck Daveinva. And by the way, if you switch your speedometer over to KPH and wind out the Spyder, I think you'll see why they had to go to 200. :D

    Oil leak ?

I think the dealer should be letting you have the Spyder while they're waiting for parts. I had a relatively minor coolant leak and my dealer let me have the bike while they waited for the part. And I live in Arizona where you really get a LOT more riding time in during the year, so leaving it...
