• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Air Hawk seat pad

I have an Airhawk R while my wife just has the non-R Airhawk. They look very similar but the write-ups say the "R" is more male-part friendly. They're better but not the last-word in comfort, IMO. I'm still looking at a seat rebuild to widen and raise it a bit. The seat guy says I may still...

    The couple that sweats together...

Yeah - back to the complication factor. I guess I'm used to two wheels - I'm trying hard to keep this from becoming something massive and, therefore, to me, less fun. I'm used to just "Two wheels and a handlebar". I'm trying to make the change to "Three wheels, a handlebar, and a radio".

    The couple that sweats together...

Thanks, Jerry. I'll send you pics of the final result. Just FYI, an email to Acme mills, a manufacturer, went unanswered.

    The couple that sweats together...

Thanks for the advice, all. I want to keep this as simple as possible. Jerry has offered to send me some mesh so I'm going to make that my first attempt. If that doesn't work, then maybe some pouches to freeze and a lightweight linen vest she can wear under her jacket. 12v pumps, quick...

    What are these for?

The fog light kit from Lamonster is really great and does indeed connect right to that wiring harness at that location. Even uses the stock connectors. Truly plug and play. Happy with mine.

    Seat Replacement Suggestions

I'm a "big guy" - ie: 6'3, 380 - and I had my Kawasaki's seat reworked by Russell Day Long Saddles in CA. You have to ship it off and get it back in the mail. I called yesterday, currently they're scheduling the end of September. Seems like a long time but it was worth it. Serious upgrade...

    How do yo make the........

On my 2016 F3, it's "Mode", "Brake", "Start". I don't have to wait for the Can-Am logo to go away for "Mode" to work. I thought the earlier ones just made you wait longer before "mode" worked. Is there a requirement to actually look at the safety card?

    The couple that sweats together...

I stopped through Bitchin' Stitchin' yesterday to talk about remaking my seat to handle longer distances (my pelvic bones are killing me). By the time we're done, we may be in completely different places and maybe it'll be better. The driver's backrest is an idea but, as guessed above, the...

    The couple that sweats together...

I thought about a cooling vest but if the air isn't getting in their now, the cooling vest will just be more wet.

    The couple that sweats together...

My wife is grumbling about the sweat patch that's forming between us, my lower back and her belly, when we're riding together. I think it's just something we have to live with, she thinks there's a solution. Any thoughts? Any solutions?

    F3T vs RT Limited - 2-up riding

My wife IS my backrest :). At 6'3, 350+ lbs and my wife being somewhat plus-sized, too, we're making the F3T work. I have already replaced the sway bar, though and am anticipating replacing the front shocks too. The F3T has an air-adjustable rear shock and the same swingarm of the RT so I'm...

    Riding Boots

I'm most comfortable in a good pair of hiking boots. All sorts of options there. Mine are Caterpillar "Generator" models. Not water-tight but you can find water-proofed boots..

I hadn't placed it in my head that way but I think you're right. It's now officially RETRO!

Just showing off a new design.

I'm really happy with this one... I've been asked not to supply sales links since I'm not a forum sponsor. I can respect that so I'm just showing off.

Tool to remove those @#!!& plastic pegs?

Well, I just got a pair from HF, too. I don't agree with "look well made" but I also agree that this is a minor tool and quality isn't too important when removing a nylon peg. -B

Oooh! and I can drive past a Harbor Freight if I go run my errand today.

    Moving the passenger pegs outward

Yeah - it's factory passenger pegs with a Web Boards board on top. So the connector at the bike is the stock hinge. http://www.web-boards.net/index.php/boards/f3-boards
