• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

Thanks. The one they set-up from me was apparently a pre-order and whoever ordered it completely ghosted so I get the benefit of a free year of B.E.S.T. Can't beat that, realized when I got home that I really had no clue what that was worth.

    Insurance Cost

Ryker 900 ACE. Progressive, $150 annually with full coverage (collision). I have a 2 wheel bike on the same policy.

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

All paid for, on track to pick up Sunday. :2thumbs: Anyone know offhand what an extra year of B.E.S.T. coverage is worth?

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

I do absolutely agree they look better in person, but still prefer the blacked out look and lack of other silver bits on the 900 ACE. Price was less of a factor given that all things considered, these are relatively inexpensive toys and were close in cost anyway.. Personal preference like...

Top cases that don't interfear with the passanger

Only question would be - would the mounts be happy with more weight that far back given the Max Mount itself is kind of "floating" already. I'm sure it would be fine without a passenger, but with I may start to get concerned (depending on the load in the case of course). Just food for thought.

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

Funny you should say that. When I spoke to the dealer he was also surprised by the stated numbers and we came back to the same guess, maybe the Rally just weights more with the extra bits. Sure enough looking at the specs, the 900 ACE shows as 616 lbs where the Rally in stock for is 627. So...

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

Amen to that, last summer was horrible with the amount of rain we got... Saturday looks a bit sketchy here, but on the upside, its supposed to be hitting about 70 on Sunday and the dealer went above and beyond for me. Going to pay for it tomorrow night and he's opening the shop to let me pick...

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

Well, problem solved / deposit placed. Went with the 900 ACE plus: - Max Mount - Passenger Seat - Side bag mount - Shad side bag - 2 Up Spring They'll have it uncrated and built for me to pickup this weekend. Thanks to all for jumping in with your thoughts, greatly appreciated.

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

Yes, I did see that one (but couldn't find it again) and its one of the items I read that started me questioning my original decision on the Rally. The specific quote: "Also notable was the fact that the standard Ryker, with its lower ride height and stickier street tires, was quicker on those...

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

Yeah, I'm sure the aftermarket will be stepping up in more ways than one as we get into summer given the rate at which these seem to be selling. And yes, I'm confident I'll end up happy on either machines. First world problems with a decision like this to be sure...

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

You would say that, just as I had pretty much finalized my decision to go with the 900. When you say the "other differences" I assume you mean ride height / shocks as opposed to appearance? The most "off road" mine will likely see is a few dirt driveways and possibly grass parking...

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

Yeah, I can get over the wheels and silver bits, I'm just really torn on performance. Will the lower profile tires perform better in the twisties despite the lesser shocks? Or is handling virtually the same between the two (when riding aggressively) despite the more rugged / higher profile tires...

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

Out of curiosity, why not the Fox shocks / do you have an alternative in mind (or do you just mean the stiffer spring)? Going to place a deposit on one of the two tomorrow / shoot to pick up Saturday and am still flip flopping as whether it will be the 900 or Rally. I'm actually starting to...

    Wasted Power in 900?

Not sure that anyone would "upgrade" to the 900 with higher displacement for better fuel economy. Personally, I wrote off the 600 because I want more fun when solo and to ensure enough torque for 2-up riding to be enjoyable. To be honest, I hadn't even thought about fuel economy as part of the...

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

Thanks gang. Really thought this would be an easy decision, but it seems that Can-Am did make a few things a little quirky. Rally edition for off road(but not really off road) which seems to be beefier, but according to the manual has a slightly lower carrying capacity... Not sure of what...

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

Small and trim may be ambitious, but I'm 5'8 about 165, she's a bit shorter and about 130-140 so I'd certainly hope it would handle us without too much concern. Probably won't be many high mileage excursions, so more spirited sport runs than "touring" if that makes sense.

    Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

Hey gang. Seriously thinking of pulling the trigger on a new Ryker. Been on 2 wheels forever, and not getting out of that, but these seem like a blast. I'm swinging between the 900 and the Rally. Mostly considering the rally because it will likely be used 2-up for 25-50% of the time, and the...
