• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Go pro mount area?

Video quality is much better with a helmet mount. The camera doesn't pick up vibration as if it were mounted directly on the bodywork. The GoPro sticky mount can be removed easily without damage. If you decide to remove it use dental floss to cut through the adhesive then use your thumb to roll...

Just need to vent about dealer service...AGAIN

I understand completely. The local deal here has a rep of crappy service. I'll perform the harness sealing myself. Only thing I'll have them do is the ECM update and fuse box covers.

    Krikit belt tension gauge.

Before I'd let the local clowns at the dealer touch my Spyder I'll sneak my gauge into the dealer and take readings off a few belts.

    laser alignment

Cool thanks! My 2013 RSS tracks ok, just darts around on a little on these great South Carolina roads. Most roads have wear/crown in the middle.

    laser alignment

I've aligned Race cars, 18 wheelers and ever RC touring cars. Are there any changes to the caster or camber? Or just drive belt and toe?

thinking about purchasing the go pro hero 3+ before the spyder goes criusing!

It will come with sticky mounts. Only thing I don't like about mounting it on my helmet it is it sticks out like half Micky Mouse ear. Far as helmet mounted camera I use my Countour HD,tucks in close. Only thing with the Countour is the audio sucks anything above 20mph but it does shoot better...

    What gas do you use?

Ethanol can cause a lean condition. Not much but enough to cause popping on deceleration.

thinking about purchasing the go pro hero 3+ before the spyder goes criusing!

I haven't tried mine on my RSS yet but I have on my Yamaha FZS Waverunner. I use the suction cup mount with a lanyard. I've thrown it around, ran 70mph and never had it come loose. Far as where to mount that's up to you. Try it in different places for different shots. Wish I had mine mounted...

    What gas do you use?

I'm only on my second tank but... I have noticed a big difference in my 2013 RSS with a Two Brothers muff using ethanol free 93 vers 93 with ethanol. Soon as I filled the tank after the dealer complimentary 2 gal of crap and ran the ethanol gas out deceleration popping stopped. For you who don't...

Thumb Throttle on 2012 and older RSS

Remember Snow mobiles and personal watercraft use thumb and finger throttles. My 2013 Yamaha FZS uses finger throttle. On long rides my fingers(index and middle) do fatigue. But if your RSS has cruise that'll help. That alone is worth the "S" option!

The Solution to Parked Motorcycle Syndrome (PMS)

Have you ever watched a Harley with low pipes on a dusty parking lot? The plow is just for looks, you actually roll the bike backwards and the exhaust blows the path clear.:roflblack:
