• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Turning the Nanny off?

Because if I know how it handles...I don't need OR WANT the Nanny. If the computer was the best way to control an "on the edge" condition...then all race cars would use it...none do! Some very unstable aircraft use a computer just to make it possible to fly, The Spyder is not one of those.

    Uncomfortable cornering

I'm just trying to find out what happens when the "limits" are exceeded and the Nanny may be a good learning tool for that. But I want control when I know what the limits are. When I went from driving a Mini on street tires to a light formula car on sticky racing tires, I was uncomfortable for...

    Turning the Nanny off?

Is there any way to turn the Nanny off? I hate the idea that there is a computer program that can take control of the bike! I am an experienced race car driver and feel that I can react better than the computer. I don't like anti-lock breaks for the same reason. Factory Cars are built to...

    Uncomfortable cornering

I'm still not completely at ease in the corners. The Baharon sway bar helped but I know that I'm still cornering at way below the potential of the bike. Most of the fear comes from not knowing what to expect when the speed is greater that what the tires to road friction can sustain. Will the...

    Nose dive?

Anti-dive and anti-squat are fairly simple to build into a suspension. If you aim the front upper A arm down at the rear and the lower A arm up at the rear... the braking action will tend to push up on the front end. Simple trig will allow you to calculate the result between dive forces and...

    Spyder RT brake location

In my case, lack of full motion in a crushed femur ball will never get much better. So I had to move my butt up or the pedal forward. The pad fixed it.

    Nose dive?

One of the first things that I noted about the RT was how much anti-dive is built into the front suspension. If the nose did not hit the road...then it is doing it's job pretty well.

    Spyder RT brake location

I could not get comfortable or easily reach the brake pedal with the stock RT seat. My first idea was to move the brake pedal forward and put a pad on the seat. I had a 3" pad made locally and that solved both the comfort and pedal problems. Worked for me.

    Wind Buffeting

I have a 2014 RTs and I am amazed at how stable and wind free the bike is at 70+ mph. I do have the BajaRon sway bar but even before the bar change, the air flow was very small.

    New Seat Pad

The pad actually looks better on the bike than the picture shows and I now have enough miles on it to appreciate the change it makes for me. A great mod for us old folks with arthritic hips.

    New Seat Pad

The foam compresses and the seat height is perfect for me. The change in CG is not noticeable. Think about how high the passenger sets. This solved several problems for me.

    New Seat Pad

I had posted before that I needed to relocate the brake pedal because it was very hard to reach. I tried using a chair cushion to raise me up and that helped. So I had a 3" cushion custom made and that did the trick. Dale did a great job...it looks and rides great. He charged me $150 and I...

    Tee Shirt Vendors

My daughter and wife have nothing but Harley shirts, jackets etc. Is there a vendor here that carries that stuff? Gotta get those girls properly outfitted!

I will pull the other link off and mail them to you. If you find them to be within your specs then I will just use the OEM...which are tight.

    1st Night Ride

I don't know where your studies were done but I can testify that where I live, in the mountains of WV, MOST deer strikes happen at dusk or at night. My cameras catch most deer on the move around my feeders at 11:00 pm and 4:00 am. It's rare to drive into our "haller" at night without seeing...

    Strange clicking sound

It is the new Spherical Bearing Al Bajaron Links. Put the old OEM links back on the left side and clunking stopped on that side. I can hear the right side starting to clunk also. can feel play in both ends of the link. Is this typical of the BajaRon links? If so...I don't want them...

    Strange clicking sound

I can not think of any condition that would cause that bushing to click...unless the bolt worked it's way out...and that is a nyloc nut. Can't work on it today. I'll try to figure it out tomorrow.

    Strange clicking sound

I'm getting a clicking sound from the left front area when I swerve the bike back and forth. I can cause it with bike at rest by pulling back and forth sideways on the handle bars. I just put a new sway bar on but I'm sure that everything was tightened properly. I'll raise the front enough...
