• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2015 RT with Tailgunner Widow Maker Exhaust

    Sounds great! I'd like a more throaty sound too. But with rotation comes wear. What happens when it stops spinning?

    Getting Licensed

    My Wife and daughter are claiming their right to pilot the Spyder. Trouble (or good thing) is. Neither has their liccene. In WV if you take the test on the Spyder, that does not qualify you for a two wheeler. Neither has driven a two wheeler and it may take a fare bit of practice to pass the...

    Building a trailer?

    I've been searching the web for car top carriers and they all seem really light weight. I'd like to find one a little more robust that also looks good. As long as I use good tires, I can't think that the size would matter. i.e. Smaller = better. I have had bad luck with regular trailer...

    Building a trailer?

    I'm planning to build a trailer for my RTs. My thoughts are welded Al frame and axle with steel stub axles w/as light a spring set and hubs as I can get. 10" wheels and tires. I'll mount a high quality roof top carrier. I should be able to keep the weight just over 120 lbs...maybe less...

    Trailer Hitch Info Needed

    The dealer said 2 hours. It took me almost 4 hours to do the sway bar and that was way more than I thought.

    Trailer Hitch Info Needed

    I just got off the phone with my dealer and the cost of installing a BRP hitch is $489 for the hitch and @ $140 in labor. So $629 total. Seems like a lot. They are claiming to give me a 10% discount on the hitch. There is not a lot of hardware in the hitch. I think I will let them do it tho'...

    Spyder=computerized marvel

    It's a common tactic on the internet for those that disagree with a post to reply by sarcastically attacking the character of the poster. I have never "self professed" mechanical genius. I did take every automotive course offered at the college where I got my degree, I did study race car...

    THANKS! You are right. I am going to check this bike out. I already own a Honda Shadow 1100 and a Suzuki 650 Samaria but the Enfield has my interest.

    Spyder=computerized marvel

    It is amazing what we can do with 0s and 1s. We can send a spacecraft millions of miles into space and talk to and control it. Only with the aid of a computer. The Spyder is also one of these computerized marvels. It's truly amazing. But I'm beginning to think that I've made a mistake...

    replacement tire for 2012 RT

    I just called my local tire shop and he will mount and (he thinks he can) balance a MasterCraft MC-440 215/60/15 for $85. Anyone use that one yet?

    Laser Alignment

    If only toe can be adjusted, then it should be fairly easy to get that right without laser equipment. Maybe there is a difficulty getting the front wheels aligned with the rear wheel also that I'm missing. In my late 20s and 30s, I designed, built and raced tube frame formula cars. The...

    Winterize

    I'm thinking about trying to ride thru the winter. I rode a bike to college all winter in WV. It's all I had. Spent many a snowy day making the 17 miles back home. My main worry is the effect that the salty roads will have on the frame.

    Laser Alignment

    Just curious, what can they align other than toe? I've read several positive reports on laser alignment so they must be able to make several corrective adjustments.

    Uncomfortable cornering

    For sure I could not wheel thru logging roads in rallies at night or run motokannas or open races with the same skill as I did when I was 30. But the hours that I've spent, with a lot of sideways motoring, gives me a leg up on those that have never experienced a controlled hand brake turn or...

    Turning the Nanny off?

    I Never ran an oval track. The tracks that I raced on had uphills/downhills, right and left corners, fast and slow corner, lots of braking and gear shifting...just like our highways in the hills of WV. I love these mountain roads.

    Uncomfortable cornering

    I've only got 800 miles on the bike and it is getting easier all the time. But the old grey mare (and reflexes ) ain't what they used to be. Lots of good folks giving good advice here. This bike does take some time to get it right.

    Turning the Nanny off?

    I really don't plan to ride very aggressively. But I don't want to slow down excessively for these twisty W.Va. roads either. Just want to be comfortable. I'm 70, my racing and skydiving are a thing of the past. But a brisk jaunt thru the mountains can make you feel younger.

    Turning the Nanny off?

    Mountain climbers, skydivers, skin divers, race car drivers, Spelunkers, base jumpers, etc. all willing put their life at risk...and we need to allow them to do it. Each year some die doing these things...But that's OK...we know the risks. I guess I need to sell the Spyder and buy a Harley if I...
