• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Another New RT SE5 Owner

Sorry to hear about your porblems, but I'am sure you will get them resolved. If the dealer isn't far I would take it back and let them deal with it. Anyway :welcome:

    BRP Oil

I'am sure this has been discussed before, but I haven’t been able to find anything on this new site. My question is: What kind of oil are you using if you don’t use BRP oil? I have a SE5 so I need the synthetic oil. It just isn’t always convenient to run to the dealer to get a quart of oil. My...

    Star Brite

Well I guess the test for me will be in the first week in August, I will be putting about 900 miles on my Spyder. I am going to use Star Tron on the whole trip. I have already put about 6000 miles on it in the past year. So I should be able to tell if there is a difference I have a program...

    Star Brite

Sold on Star Tron Went on a 350 mile round trip Sunday (7/17). Put in 1 oz of Star Tron when I filled up to go and 1 oz in when I filled up for the return trip. I normally get about 29 MPG riding two up. When I got back I checked the mileage for the whole trip and got 37.29 MPG. I used...

    15% Grade

This is a two lane road. Most of the road is like a regular two lane road, but the streach in the video is the only part that is this narrow and steep.

    15% Grade

Here is part of a ride we went on a few weeks ago. Iowa Hill Road just east of Colfax CA. Headed west from Sugar Pine Reservoir on a narrow curvy road dropping down to the North Fork of the American river.

    Front Wheels 14” or 15” or 16”

I have been looking online to try and find some new front wheels for my 2010 RS (other than BRP wheels). I originally started looking for the stock size 14” (3 lug), but can’t seem to find any. Three lug wheels are hard to find. There are some Smart Car wheels with three lug but they usually...

TO LEAN OR NOT TO LEAN

It is possible to lift a wheel off the ground on a turn. I did it once. :yikes: I was going up hill on a narrow road riding fairly aggressive. I was by myself and I wanted to see just how fast I could go around sharp curves. I was making a left turn around a hair pin curve when the left...

    Yellowstone

We went to Yellowstone last year (2010) had a great time :2thumbs:. Here is a link to our pictures http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/album.php?albumid=881 We went the first week in June. The weather was still somewhat cool, but overall it was good. The buffalo calves were still pretty young...

Hey California Riders - did you ever think about lane splitting on the Spyder?

:lecturef_smilie: Sorry, but I disagree with the officer statement above. In section 400(a) of the DMV code clearly states that a three wheeled vehicle is a "motorcycle". And in section 21655.5(b) of the code lists the "motorcycle" as one of the vehicles that can use the "Exclusive-or...
