• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there any noticeable improvement with handling in corners?

    NHTSA investigation update

Magdave, It's funny how I'm a know it all because I posted something you don't agree with. I never claimed to be a know it all. However what I said about short shifting and putting is indeed a fact that you somewhat agreed on in a later post about 20 mph and under. I as well am not amused the...

    NHTSA investigation update

I'm pretty sure I mentioned very early in my post that it is not only an RT issue..... I was speaking of the ST/RS portion of the problem when I said they relocated the cat. I think you are the one that's mis-informed if you think the designed shift point is 3,500 rpm. I have spoken to 2...

    NHTSA investigation update

First of all I CLEARLY said that the cat is not the only issue! Second I CLEAR (once again) did not say all RT riders putt around! However there are SEVERAL people that have beat ST/RS/GS riders down because they do not putt around. I in no way pointed a finger at anyone specifically, but what I...

    NHTSA investigation update

I've been trying to keep my mouth shut on this topic, but I can't. There are several issues with the fuel smell (not all BRP's fault and certainly not the NHTSA's fault)! Yes, the Spyders do get hot under the plastic panels due to (my assumption) positioning of the cat converter. The 2013's...

size run down, new guy stupid questions.

I am 6'6" and 265# and I can tell you that my 2013 RS fits me fine. My 13 RS is the same unit as an 08/09 GS with some very minor cosmetic changes. If your looking to get into a Spyder I recommend picking up an 08/09 GS and modding it how you want. That's what I did with my RS. If your handy you...

    F3 or a used ST

I think you need to do some research on motorcycles. The inline engine was introduced to motorcycles in the early 1900's! I'm not sure how old you are (I'm 40), but early 1900's is a dinosaur to me when it comes to technology.... Just say'n Hubie

    brake squeel fix

Netminder, I assume you don't ride your Spyder in the rain? Because rinsing your wheels, rotors and pads is the same as riding in the rain. I agree with your method of using the proper products, however that is not always a 100% gaurentee of not having break squeal. Sometimes when things get...

    F3 or a used ST

I agree with what has already been said. If you ride hard and like cornering fast I'd go with the F3. If you like to cruise and would like to save some cash buy an ST. FYI.. my dealer told me that he test rode an F3 at the show and it is very comfortable with the adjustable handlebars and foot pegs.

    F3-S Touring Escape Package

The RS cruise was an easy mod if you are somewhat mechanical. I was a little upset that BRP markets the RS as "not able to have cruise, but if you spend the extra $'s on the RS-S you can have cruise" and then we find out that I had cruise all the time with a very simple mod that cost $0. Yet I...

    F3-S Touring Escape Package

The sad thing is everyone is posting about how ridiculously priced Spyders and BRP accessories are. Yet how many of these same people have already ordered a new F3? I agree with an earlier post that if you don't buy it the prices will come down. Untill people stop paying the prices the prices...

New Wind Turbulence with installation of Side vent panels

I don't know about the ST wind deflectors. However I did just get the vented side panels put on my RS this week. I also have a MadStad windshield on my Spyder. I am planning a ride this weekend and will reply if I have the same turbulence or not.

I think I paid about $700 for my Russell Day Long and it comes with a comfort guarantee.

    Comfort seat

I had one on my RS and it was better. But that is only because the stock RS seat has a rounded shape that is very uncomfortable. Your ST has a flat seating area and is also better than the RS seat. I ride with the guy that I bought my comfort seat from and he took it off and put an ST seat on. I...

GOT A CALL FROM BRP ON FRIDAY

I got a similar call from BRP about the same issues on my 2013 RS. BRP does a good job of getting back to you and getting a claim number open. The issue I found was getting the dealer to do there part. I ended up calling my dealer due to no call from them. However once I got in touch with the...

Red Headed Step Child versus F3
