• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    @$$# rear suspension

I traded my 2011 RTL for a 2015 and am having a similar issue outlined in http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?108577-Rear-Shock-Issues. I am concerned about the dealer not being able to find the issue and this will continue through my warranty period. At $50 a pop, that will...

    Which seat is most comfortable?

:agree: When I upgraded to my '15, I went with the BRP comfort seat. I find it to be a bit more supportive, but not enough for my liking. If I were to buy another seat, I would probably look at the Corbin's as they are more firm and I think for my body, that would be a better solution. Bottom...

    Rear Shock Issues

Thanks for your response. I have an extended warranty just for this reason. After the second trip to the dealer, we picked one up as I was afraid this would occur. On my 2011, the shock went out just after the warranty expired and the price of the shock would have paid for the warranty. We...

    Rear Shock Issues

I have a 2015 RT LTD and have had it back to the dealer 4 separate times for the rear shock. Now I am taking it back for the 5th time. The issue is at the first of a ride, the shock indicator on the dash shows the compressor/shock setting as expected. Sometime during the ride it switches over...

For those who remember Roger and Scotty....

Thanks for the post. I have been wondering what happened to Scotty. Glad to hear he is well and putting the final touches on his dream home. I always appreciated his wisdom and willingness to share it.

    Can Am trailer question

We use the Reese coupler lock as shown in this set: https://www.amazon.com/Reese-Towpower-7030600-Professional-Receiver/dp/B003FKTX4G/ref=sr_1_13?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1503512848&sr=1-13&keywords=reese Other than that, we do not leave the trailer anywhere when we pull it. It stays attached...

NEW TODAY FROM SENA & motorcycledave

:agree: If they are going to advertise being able to connect different types of devices (e.g. their BT dongle, phone as well as intercom) they need to make that solid first. I am not the only one that has spent a lot of money for a 20S and been VERY disappointed in how it operates. Make what...

2015 RT Limited, Heat coming up the front of the seat

Just be careful when riding in that type of heat. It can sneak up on you; speaking from experience. If you do, take plenty of breaks and TONS of water and electrolytes. Ride happy but ride safe...

It has to be either K or F. I thin "K" will fill before F does to "K" is my vote.

Shock upgrade....is it really worth it?

:agree: I also upgraded to Elka Stage 2 front shocks. Made the front end more stable and did not dip as described above. Now the bike tracks through the curve instead of a dive, correct, dive, correct through the curve. May be my riding style, but I would recommend the upgrade if you are...

    Lucky SOB!!

WOW! That's about all I can say. Very lucky especially with the pavement and the wall it looks like he hit. Very lucky person and I agree with Bob, he had an angel protecting him that day.

Downshifting questions .... good or bad practices??

I ALWAYS tap my brakes when I start to slow down. Mostly to kick off the cruise control but even if I don't have it set I still tap my brakes. That is to signal the person behind me something is occurring ahead of them. I don't wait to see if they notice my speed change, I do it to notify...

NEW TODAY FROM SENA & motorcycledave

Dave, what about an upgrade path from the 20S? Will SENA provide some incentives for upgrading existing 20S users?

Progress Report: 700 Mile Mark - It's True!

:agree: I use the cruise control as well. I find when I can't due to traffic or whatever, I suffer from the same sleeping hand syndrome. Using the cruise with short periods of manual throttle control, I do not have any hand issues. We typically got for about an hour to 1.5 hours and then we...

    Pikes Peak

I have not been up Pike's Peak road, but the view from the top is spectacular. I would highly recommend Estes Park to Grand Lake as well; Trail Ridge Road. It is spectacular as well and the Spyder will do fine over that part of the road for sure.
