• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Only 26 Days until Spring -- SOMEONE PLEASE TELL MOTHER NATURE!

    New Side panels

Suggestion If you decide on having the dealer install the panels for you, I suggest you take the opportunity to have them wrap the exhaust pipes, insulate the gas tank and perform Service Bulletin #2013-9 all at the same time. To just swap out the panels, my best "guesstimate" is 1.5-2 hours max.

    Adventure in wrapping exhaust pipes!

Thanks all to those who contributed to this thread. A very interesting and worthwhile project to do IMHO. Any idea how long the exhaust wraps will last (in terms of mileage or length of service) assuming you use the Spyder on 1-2 long trips each year only, but regular weekend rides (2-hour...

Metro Air Force Blaster - Classic

Thanks for the response Jerbear. So would you replace yours with the compact again or go for the Classic (next size up)? My only misgiving for the bigger unit is the size; bigger takes more storage space. I live in a condo.

Metro Air Force Blaster - Classic

Just wondering if anybody is using one of these air dryers on their Can Am or motorcycles. Looks like a pretty handy thing to have. It is on sale at Competition Accessories at $214.99. http://www.compacc.com/p/Metro-Air-Force-Blaster-Classic They also have compact model called the "Sidekick"...

    covers?

We have been using BRP travel covers for our RTL and STS and are quite happy with them. Been debating over getting a full cover but really see no use for it since both bikes are garaged. Only reason for the full covers is to keep the dust off. I like the BRP travel covers because they are very...

    New Side panels

Noticed you getting edgy..... Take it easy; maybe start up your STS and get some saddle time. The exhaust sounds and fumes might compensate for a short ride now that it is icy and bitterly cold. Brrrr! Good time to test that First Gear Cover Alls.

That's a great idea but you won't ride now! The bitter winter affecting you Snoopy? ;)

So has anyone other than Carl installed these new panels on their STS? Just hoping to get some feedback on how effective they are.
