• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    50 year old Glenfiddich

I've always been sure they only made Glenfiddich to feed to the English as revenge for Culloden! It's dreadful stuff - I wouldn't touch it! There's much, much better to be had and no need to spend $9,000 to get it. Oh and two thing you must never put in whisky... ice and an 'e'! Eric in...

    IPS and 2014 key

My IPS arrived this afternoon, only a week and a day after I ordered it, and it took the cheapest postage option! So well done Ron that was excellent... only one problem... I haven't got my Spyder yet :-( The finance agreement arrived in the same post and I just need to sign and return it to...

    Akrapovic exhaust for st-s

£999 or $1,500 US over here in the UK! I decided against!

    Here you go...

That's almost as much as a Spyder retails for in the UK :-)

dealer said no to warranty on 2014 limited

A certain dealer in the UK (no longer trading) is reputed not to have registered several sales through BRP as he just pocketed the cash rather than settling with BRP. Though, BRP played very fair with the owners by getting another dealer to register them. He is reputed to have taken BRP for...

    A Change of Direction

When my back's bad, a neoprene kidney belt really helps, but getting a big enough one is an issue these days :-) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

    Handicapped Spyder Ryders.....Roll call!

OK, I'll add my name to the roll. As you can tell from my avatar, I'm disabled and a little over weight! The latter is due to the former; the former is due to a clumsy surgeon performing a C3-C5 laminectomy ten years ago in June. I'm tetraplegic (or quadriplegic to you guys) with pretty severe...

    Getting a motorcycle license

Here in the UK you need a car license for a Spyder (weird I know), but I have both a car and bike license obtained before my C3-C5 spinal injury and incomplete tetraplegia. You have to self-report impairment to drive here and simply state what restrictions you need on your licence. To help in...

Left-Side Alternative to Right-Hand "Fly By Wire Throttle"

I found a Can Am dealer in London, UK who can do a left hand fly-by-wire throttle and are doing one for me along with a left hand brake as I type. They are www.gsjettech.co.uk and the engineer is Ian. Might not be handy for most of you, but, I believe he buys his parts from the States and might...

    Buying a new 2013 ST-S

I've contacted NABD about the adaptations, but, to be honest, they seem more interested in adapting bikes or building horrendous car based trikes! I'm a member, so I've asked for a grant application pack, but I'm not convinced that they will help me... we'll see! I've also registered with the...

    Buying a new 2013 ST-S

As it'll not be long now, I'll be reading that lot a few times! Thanks for that. It is a bit of an issue for that, given my disability, I was unable to take a test ryde! I did toy with the idea of getting a run as a pillion, but the nearest dealer is 250 miles away and the only one that would do...

    Disability Adaptations

    Buying a new 2013 ST-S

It's the 'should have' thing that gets me. My dealer is 400 miles away and popping back in for a quick check isn't on, so I want to be able to say 'have you done x, y & z?' Before he sends it up here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

    Buying a new 2013 ST-S

So I've just ordered a brand new, still in the crate, 2013 ST-S; what should I be asking the dealer to attend to? Is there somewhere here that lists the recalls and common faults?

    Disability Adaptations

Hi folks, I'm new here and in the process of buying a new and unregistered 2013 STS from a dealer in London. However, as my avatar alludes to, I am disabled. Following a spinal injury 10 years ago, I am a C3-C5 tetraplegic (in the US I believe you'd say quadriplegic) and pretty badly paralysed...

There's a lot of that about; my uncle emigrated to BC in the late 60's. He died last month, but his wife and my cousins are still there.

    YE OLDE MERRIE ENGLANDE!!

Hi folks, I'm new here, but also in the UK. I live in Scotland, but reading this post was interesting to me as I was educated in Sandwich in Kent and as a 16 year old I did my 50 mile canoe test paddling the length of the Medway. But also, this weekend I drove to Poole in Dorset and on the way...

Was going to purchase a ST Limited

My 2013 ST-S (well not quite mine yet!) is still at the dealer 450 miles away whilst they figure out how to do the adaptations, so how do you think I feel seeing this thread? Well, pre crippledom, I rode Buells so I feel quite at home already:yes: I do need to get a list of what I need the...
