• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    CalSci windscreen issues

Well, I guess that blows my confidence level in him, doesn't it? I might still buy one of his windshields. I like the design and most everyone's comments on its performance related to comfort is good. I might even try try to learn the effects of Rain-X on acrylic--I know a chemist who is an...

    CalSci windscreen issues

Read CalSci Website There was a lot of pro and con discussion of the CalSci windshields last year, and I still want to get one. I was convinced of the advantages of the the vent hole design to reduce back pressure and turbulence. The hole is not there to provide fresh air, as some other...

    Armadillos

Armadillos have been spotted as far north as the MO river. I have seen several over the last couple of years. Most likely they are more numerous down in southern MO.

Indicators now needing multiple pushes after storage?

I figured out the "straight push in" early on (although I still fail occasionally with winter gloves on). My problem is when I push it to the side to initiate the signal and it fails to return. But it only does this occasionally, only to the left, and perhaps more often immediately after...

Indicators now needing multiple pushes after storage?

Similar, but different I have had a problem with my turn signal switch not coming back to center after I push it. The light continues flashing until I notice it (and it is sometimes a while, since I don't have those mirror arrows yet). I also wondered about some kind of lube. Would silicone...

New Luggage rack from Big Bike Parts for RT

I've had 3 trunk racks on other touring bikes, loaded them to the max, and did not have trouble with the trunk lids. Yamaha Venture, BMW K1200 & Honda GL. 2 of the racks were Kuryakin. Probably depends on how the rack attachment is designed and how thick the lid is.

New Luggage rack from Big Bike Parts for RT

Darn! I just bought a 622 trailer to carry that extra 10 pounds of gear. Maybe I could take the trailer back and get the rack.

Sorry to be redundant but....lifting Spyder RT-S on Harbor Freight lift.....

I'm sure someone will post a picture; I don't have one. I do have the controversial HF lift and have used it successfully. I put it as far to the rear of the frame as it will go, I think, with the rear pad just about under the driver foot rests. Get your head down there and take a look. I...

Maybe an RT next time You could get an RT and maybe with a little practice she could get used to being on the back for those times when you want to ride together.....or you could ride on the back!! Have fun, we do!!

    To Whom It May Concern

Complaining vs Constructive Criticism, Recommendations, Preferences, etc I usually don't like to be pestered by manufacturers, but if BRP asked me what I would like to see changed, I would give them plenty of constructive feedback. Not because I don't like my Spyder, but because I would like...

    Any XM Radio deals?

Yeah, the inline amp .... I'm not very techy, so I wondered about this too. And what is this XM Snap? I have an old Delphi unit: "Caveman. That is actually what I listen to when I am in my office. Don't want to pay the $12 to listen to XM online. I am trying the XM Snap route for the...

    Best Jack For Spyder

I'm not an engineer, but the differences I see are cosmetic, different wheels and maybe the jack component itself, and the placement of the "brake." Sure looks like the same basic design though. Both rated for 1500 pounds. Maybe we aren't comparing the same jacks. Are these the two you have...
