• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Hard to Mount???

Step on up! I mount from the left, I place my left foot on the passenger pad, grab the left handle grip, stand up the draw my right leg up and over the seat. I don't swing my leg over to the rear because you just end up kicking the seat rest and also you'll most likely scuff the top of the...

    Scary discovery

Good point TuckMiddle, the photos were taken from the front looking aft. You have two fender struts on each fender, the "U" guide is welded to the lower aft strut. The braided brake line should extend upward from the caliper, then thru the guide, then makes a turn thru the Adel Clamp (The black...

    Scary discovery

Love my RT, but I've been finding some things that are a little scary, and other owners need to check. Both my friend and I purchased RTs in July from a dealerships two different locations. My friends RT doesn't seem to suffer from the same oversights and problems that I've encountered so I feel...

TOTALLY CLUELESS AND IN THE DARK TO BOOT

My 2 cents worth I have had a Zumo 550 since they came out and have moved in thru 3 Bikes. It is waterproof but has a history of the touch screen going crazy, however this is a cheap fix if you don't send it back to Garmin. It can be self repaired with screen replacements from China via eBay...

Thinking about a 2012 RT Sound and convienence model

Made the change in July to A & C Made the change from HD to the Spyder RT in July, it does require an adjustment but I'm glad I made the change. Just came back from a week in TN at Lamonsters BBQ and a ride day which invoked riding The Rattler, The Hellbenders, The Tail of the Dragon and The...

Same problem on 2012 RT Hope someone has a solution. Mine has done this periodically, and its not after a wash and only when using the iphone on AUX. Ive just cycled the up down volume several times and it blasts back on. The auto volume gets dysfunctional too. We'll both have to wait for the...

County Tax Department ? Can Am

Got my NC tax bill too. My county tax office sent me a bill for taxes on a $36K CanAm. I have an RT that was 24 new,so I made my trip to their office, they didn't know what a CanAm was so I pointed out the window and showed them my invoice. They checked what info they had and they had something...

    License Plate light Fiasco

That's what I did do. Did the same, just didn't want anyone to know that I was glueing my bike back together with Crazy Glue. Why couldn't the engineers think of that? Too simple I guess.

    License Plate light Fiasco

I'm in awe again over some of the cheapie and thoughtless features I've come across in my 2012 RT. Today I removed the 2 screws to remove the lens of my license plate light. To my surprise it isn't only a lens but a complete module encapsulated in a rubber boot. That really isn't a bad thing...

    TIE DOWN PONTS WHEN TRAILERING

Front cris-cross tie down We also tie down thru the wheels, however we "X" the front tie downs to a point forward of the wheels. This "X'ing" keeps the wheels pointing straight forward and prevents the flip flopping of the front wheels during travel. My friend also uses a spring line to keep...
