• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oh ... :2thumbs: That answers my question. Thanks!

    Comparison 2009 vs 2010

As far as I know, Can-Am releases a new model in the even years (eg. 2010), and releases a revised and optimized version of the above "full" releases in the odd years (eg. 2011). A bit of logical (or wishful :D) thinking leads me to believe that the 2009 is mainly an updated 'n' upgraded 2008...

    My new 2010 RS Spyder

It has a clutch, the Spyder is just auto-clutching for you :D By the way, that Hindle sounds de-li-ci-ous!

    Spyder Sightings

Oh, how I wish there were more Spyders on the European roads. Or any, for that matter. Haven't seen any in real life yet, might be because the nearest dealer is not even in Denmark. Instead, it's 250 kilometres south of here. Great, to top it all off, I had a look at Can-Am's Spyder ryder map...

UPDATED 6.2010 Spyderlovers recommended Service Center List

I tried looking the Pirate Motorsports in Riverside, CA up on the Can-Am dealer map, but I can't seem to find it. Could it be renamed since the map was updated, or is it just not marked there (would be odd...)? PS. Thank you very much for doing the state-order list :D

    Advice for a driver-to-be?

Geez, you are so damn helpful, y'know? I think trike laws, endorsement-wise, are one of the untouched areas of the Danish road laws. I've heard that they can be driven with a normal class B (car in Danish is bil, thus the letter B) license. Might be MC though, I think it's the weight of the...

What do YOU do with tailgaters & other 'alternative' driving styles . . .

I'm not a ryder yet, but if I had the choice, I think I'd go for something soft, yet massive, like rubber pieces (a cut up spare tire?). Anyway, a more decent and defensive way to go around tailgaters would be to fly a bright neon yellow flag on a pole on the rear end of your Spyder. Eddie...

    Got it figured out

:agree:  So true, so true. So what you should do is to dine out (KFC for the win!) every single day for the next month, then heat up a simple do-it-yourself dinner the day when she gets home, and tell her you miss her cooking skills. That's two birds with one stone! :D

UPDATED 6.2010 Spyderlovers recommended Service Center List

:agree: That, and could you sort the dealer list in alphabetical order based on the state abbreviations, mentioned by Gary? Thanks for making the list, by the way. I bet it makes life easier for a lot of Spyder ryders!

    Advice for a driver-to-be?

:yikes: :hun: That's actually bit of a surprise! I expected the more "aggressive" RS to be more gas-hungering than the RT, but I can see why; after all, the RT weighs a tad more. Thanks for it! Yet another question: If I decide to (aka. have to) get a bike license, will I be able to do the...

    Advice for a driver-to-be?

Is the Starcom wired or wireless? Anyway, I have another question to add to this little thread: What mileage can I expect from an RS-S? I've heard everything from 25 to 35, depending on how aggressive your driving style is, and whether you're doing 80 on the highway or stop'n'going on a busy...

    Advice for a driver-to-be?

:2excited:  :agree: Lol @ SpyderLovers' smileys ... Anyway, thanks for the welcoming, guys! This place is better than I first expected. I bet I'll hang around for a while ... Thanks for the tip on the JL Audio system, Justin, but I'm not too keen on giving up the frunk. Might stick...

    Advice for a driver-to-be?

One of the reasons I'd like to own a Spyder (besides the feeling of freedom, the driving abilities and the awesome looks), is that I'm not fully content with the safety of a bike. I'm a bit of a safety-freak by nature, so to speak, so this three-laner is probably the best compromise between...

    Advice for a driver-to-be?

Thanks a heap, guys! You've been very helpful. Hopefully, that'll help me get my mitts on a Spyder later on... Oh, one more thing - does anyone know if there's a list of States and the license it requires to drive a Spyder in the particular States? If not, then could you tell me what I would...

    Advice for a driver-to-be?

Thanks a lot for the reply :) I think I need to specify my 4th question... Is it possible to shift gears manually on a SE5, in case the shift-pad stops working?

    Advice for a driver-to-be?

Hi there! I am currently just one year from being able to get my driver's license, thus the dream of a Spyder is closer than ever. I have some questions though... - What would you recommend for a comfortable everyday to/from-work vehicle that, though, still sports an amusing ride? - How...
