• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I'm melting...

I added Baker Air Wings to my 2013 RT-Ltd. Made a huge improvement in getting air on the body when it's warm. The other thing you could think about is a vented windshield. Tony

    RT in crosswind

My 2013 RT-Ltd is stable in a cross-wind. The blows me around but the Spyder stays pretty steady. When we rode to Spyderfest a couple of weeks ago, we had a 25-30 mph cross-wind the entire 450 miles. Tony

Nice Idea from the UK! (Well, it had to happen eventually!!))

They cost $685 plus the mount. I talked to the guy last week and the Spyder mounts are not ready yet. He says it'll be another 3 weeks to a month before he has them. He's got a waiting list of 25 people who want this setup. Tony

    The "Dragon" is dead

I would be definitely interested in pictures of the custom crafted flow directors to divert the airflow to the upper vent. My 2013 RT-Ltd heat issues are only with the right foot. I don't have any gas smell, boiling gas or a hot seat. I've got 12,000 miles on my Spyder so if those issues were...

SpyderFest 2014 - Two Questions followed by lots of Opinions

This was our first Spyderfest. What we liked best? The people that were there! MoGang did a great job in organizing this event and we hope to be back next year because we didn't all that there is to see in the area. The vendor village was great! What could be improved? More detail on the...

    The "Dragon" is dead

So I'm a bit confused. In your posts above you're pretty vague and I'm having a hard time figuring out what you did. Could you explain in detail what you did to "slay the Dragon". Thanks, Tony

    Spyder Jack (blue)

I just talked with the US distributor and the Can-AM mount is not available yet. Sounds like it'll be another 4-6 weeks before it's available. The distributor says he's got 24 people on a waiting list for the mount. I'm one of them. Tony

    In BRP's news letter

Starting to pack the Spyder and trailer tomorrow so we can leave Monday morning. Looks like we'll be driving in the rain from Iowa but the further we go south, the less rain we'll see (I hope). The weather for the trip back looks perfect! This is our first Spyderfest and I've been looking...

    Spyder Prices?

I bought my 2013 RT-Limited a little over a year ago from Metro in Cedar Rapids. I've been very happy with their service. I live about 50 miles away from Metro and I choose them for my service needs instead of the dealer that's about 15 miles from my house. One of the reasons I purchased my...

How can I get to the fog lights to replace them with HIDs?

I'd like to replace the fog lights in my 2013 RT-Limited with HIDs. I have the kit from XenenDepot but I'm a little stumped as to what I need to remove to get at the fog lights. Can anyone here tell me what tupperware I need to remove to get at the fog lights? Thanks, Tony

    Moved GPS today...

I want to do the same thing. I was going to use the original wiring harness but couldn't figure out how to remove it. I never thought of getting a new harness. Great idea!!! I think I'm also going to get the correct parts to remove the GPS mount from the handlebars. Thanks for the idea!! Tony

Need help with getting mods installed at Spyderfest

JT, The factory GPS harness runs from a connector that's located just in front of the right saddle bag. The radio is a little further underneath the seat. The harness runs along the right side of the Spyder, up behind the right head light and through a hole with a lot of other cables. It...

Need help with getting mods installed at Spyderfest

I had a lot of ambition today. On my 2013 RT-Limited, I planned on moving the GPS from the handlebar to above the dash using The dash mount from JT's Spyder Store, install XenonDepot HIDs for the head lights and XenonDepot HIDs for the fog lights. Well all I got done was installing the HIDs...

    MSF Basic Riding Course!

I took both the two wheel and three wheel MSF class last year. The three wheel class was the first offered in Iowa. The classroom portions of each class were very similar but the driving portions took into account two wheels vs three and were slightly different. I enjoyed both classes...

Excessive Heat has been a problem

You have every right to complain here on this forum and if you want to keep doing so, go right ahead. However, in my opinion, continuous complaining here on this forum is not going to get the issue resolved even if BRP is monitoring this forum. If I was you and I had heat issues, this is what...
