• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shopping for a 2 wheeled Trailer to transport Spyder RTL

I'm shopping for a 2 wheel aluminum 14' trailer. I need one that will haul either our 2016 Spyder RTL or our 2021 Kawasaki KRX 1000. The KRX needs an 8' wide bed. What do you guys think? Thanks

    New Garmin NA map available.

So it sounds like most of you are using Garmin GPS. We have a new to us 2016 RTL. The previous owner kept the original gps, he did leave the mount on the Spyder. I thought I'd just get a new Garmin XT to replace the original. It looks like the new XT won't work, I was watching a U Tube video on...

8th Annual Memorial Ride of Wife's Passing Headed from WI to Oklahoma this year

I should add that my ride now is a 2016 RTL. I'll have to figure out how to update my profile.

Look up the Talimena Trail, it's a spectacular ride.

Looking for gently used RT SE6. What year?

Thank you sir. We bought a new 2010 RT and loved it, however it didn't show us much love. Warranty repair 7 times during our ownership. We sold it with 16k miles and bought our present Harley. I installed a trike kit on it. Were older and probably won't be doing anymore long trips. Most of our...

Looking for gently used RT SE6. What year?

Sold my Harley.. My hands don't work so well anymore so I'm looking for a Spyder.. What year between 2015 and 2019 would you recommend? Price is main consideration. Thanks Dwight

    Back in the game

After a long absence from this forum my wife and I are again considering an RT. We sold our 2010 RT in the fall of 2010 after 16k miles of riding, and 7 visits to the shop for warranty work. This is not gonna be a rant, just some history. Our dealer (Reno Powersports ) in Kansas City certainly...

    Late afternoon sun glare

Yep, I've used a strip of 2" wide black duct tape on my helmets for many years. Works good and I've always got some laying around. Dwight

    2019 RT Limited

Thanks for the quick response guys. I wouldn't have any problems buying a 2018. The boss lady gets to pick the color so it's gonna be the chrome version of whatever color. Her preference would be red but blue might also work. We wear open face full coverage helmets so is there a bluetooth...

    2019 RT Limited

I bought a 2010 rt brand new and rode it 16000 miles before I sold it. I really liked it but it didn't return my love very well. So now I'm considering a 2018 or 19 RT Limited. I've not been able to find a good riding review for this model, can anyone point me in the right direction? I've also...

    Blew another rear shock

4 rear shocks, 16K miles, in one year. China?? or just cheap junk. All replaced under warranty. Dwight

    Curiosity

I'm not sure I believe that Roger. Are you saying that the Spyder wouldn't be safe to ride without the nanny? Wouldn't you think that the 2f, 1r configuration would be safer than the 1f, 2r configuration? Why don't we see the TriGlide nannyied up? Its factory built and it doesn't seem HD is...

    Curiosity

Arctic Cat has one in the works. Pictures on the Arctic Cat Wildcat forum. They're also a snowmobile company so maybe its just something they feel comfortable with. Hope they don't nanny it up like the Can Am. Dwight

Some opinions would be very welcome.......

Got many thousands of miles on sidecars. Also have some trophies for sidecar racing laying around somewhere. The Spyder is probably your best bet, the power steering would be the main reason I say that. Sidecars, unless properly set up, will require more steering input than any of the other...

I talked with BRP for a rebate for 2013 to 2014

cuznjohn, My Spyder had been in the shop for warranty work 7 times in the year I owned it. I talked to the head honcho at the owners meeting in Chicago about everything that had happened. I was given shop credit for expense's incurred on the road that I had to pay for. Eventually they offered...

I talked with BRP for a rebate for 2013 to 2014

Just for the record, there are a few of us that BRP offered money towards a trade in because of all of the problems on our 2010 RT's. Dwight

    @$@%#%^@ Limp Mode!

There are several 2 wheel front, 1 wheel back trikes that seem to operate well without the nannyfied operating system imployed by the Spyder. When I first went to the dealership to check out the Spyders I met someone on one of the Italian built (maybe Piaggo?) 3 wheel leaning scooter trikes...

Got a LIMP MODE but no code tonight

Don't have a dog in this hunt, but, think about this. 75mph on a long interstate curve (legal speed) in heavy traffic. Bike goes into limp mode, slows to 50mph quickly. Would you be a little worried about somebody driving over you? I'm sorry guys but that is just something I don't think you...

Blown Rear Shock @ 13k Miles

Threewheels, I thought I had the record at 4 shocks in 16K miles! I also had the air bag system repaired several times and then replaced (compressor and all). Easiest way to tell if the shock is bad is uncontrolled bouncing after a bump. You can also dry test it by compressing it (leaning...

Still having steering problems after alignment on 2013 RTS SE5

I'm sure dissapointed, I really thought that with the new suspension geometry and other updates that the 2013's would live up to the potential I'd expected of my 2010 PE. It appears that that won't be the case. Sad, I really liked my 2010 but after numerous warranty issues and many days in the...
