• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Record Gas Milage?

I've found that I get better gas mileage from my Cadillac Escalade using Mexico's no alcahol added gasoline rather than using the alcahol added gas I bought the last time (1 month ago) I was in the States. Though my gas milage in both areas is lousey, pulling my trailer loaded with my Spyder...

    Attempt to steal Spyder

In Eurpe they just show up with a big van and 6 husky guys and load up the truck and drive away. If you chain it to something like a light post with a case hardend 3/8" chain your bike will be there in the morning.

    RS-S SE5 with Slipping Transmission

A "blend" of oils guarantees nothing. Use 100% synthetic oil if that's what you need. They use the word "Blend" only to charge you more. It could be 1% synthetic and 99% normal oil and still be a blend. You got it? It got you.

    Spyder Sightings

Don't believe that dealer. I asked the same question to a dealer in a town called Valle De Brovo in Mexico. He told me he has sold 31 Spyders. A month later he went bankrupt. I was in the San Fracisco area the beginning of June this year for 8 days driving all over the south part of CA and...

MPH and RPMs for shifting into gears

Dear no name, I just finished making my 2008 GS SE5 Spyder comforatable but I doubt that you will be able to copy me. I installed the 1" OEM raiser that did nothing to aid my confort. I then instalaled the Helibars steering head extention that really helped but not enough. I built floor...

    RS-S SE5 with Slipping Transmission

DO NOT EVER BUY A BLEND OIL. Blends are a joke. You have no way of knowing what percentage of synthetic oil and normal oil have been mixed together to make a "blend". Buy 100% synthetic oil. No mixtures. Amsoil is the way to go. It will cost very little more if you amortize it over 4,000...

I think the sockets are 5 mm or 6 mm. Go out and buy a set of metric hexoganal (Allen) wrenches and go first class. They're low cost. You'll need many of them as time goes by. Arthur---Mexico City

    Fuzeblock FZ-1

I didn't have access to the FZ-1 fuse block you mentioned so I did my way. I purchsed the smallest 6 circuit fuse block I could find while in the States and mounted it under the panel that's under the windshield on my 2008 GS SE5, on the right side. I ran a fused cable from the battery to the...
