• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Am I meeting something here about the oil

@Winnex3 You need to address the low oil Service Bulletin #2 from BRP regarding inspection of the oil level in the main gearbox. Don't forget to get the dealership out to you house and have this accomplished free of charge. You have inspected the main engine oil sump now and it appear to be...

Am I meeting something here about the oil

@Michaelscs I completely agree, no need to worry about damaging your engine at the oil level now indicating. @Winnex3 When it warms up outside take it for a 20 mile ride and follow the instructions as per the manufacturer description exactly to measure you current level set. You can then...

    Ryker Forums question

@AnthonyG It looks like you need to add a section "Ryker Shop Talk" "Maintenance & Technical Support for the Ryker", since you have that category listing for a versions of Spyders. You did add the Ryker to the listing on the header divider. You updated it to read "Spyder and Ryder Technical...

    Ryker Forums question

@AnthonyG Your additions of the ACE 600 and 900 engine in Shop Talk looks great, but there is one small error that needs to be corrected. On the ACE 1330 engine listing heading you need to remove the mention of CVT since that engine does not have this type of transmission system. I underlined...

Ryker front tires size is Proprietary! Thanks again BRP........

Thanks Markububis, that is a great tire calculator. It has a neat feature that allows you to compare two sizes of tires for comparison. I compared the Ryker front tire size 145/60R/16 and the Yokohama 175/50R/16. The diameter is very nearly exact, but the rub is the Yokohama is 1.2 inches...

Ryker front tires size is Proprietary! Thanks again BRP........

I found this forward facing photo of a Ryker. From this distance it looks like the tire Ron has in mind may fit within the fenders. It would only add 1/2 inch on each side to the current tires and the aspect ratio would be okay too. Nice find Ron! Perhaps Ron can measure the fender clearance...

Kenda tires for ever and ever and ever: I found the data below on this thread: https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?116822-Ryker-Tires-vs-Spyder-(Kenda)&highlight=ryker+manual ********************************************************************************************* Default...

Am I meeting something here about the oil

Winnex3 I'm sure you're aware of this fact, but I thought it might be helpful just in case.... It would be "bad practice" to just warm-up the engine to check the oil. Combustion gases that bypass the piston rings will contaminate your fresh oil with water vapor that will condense within your...

Am I meeting something here about the oil

Great news, thank you. I don't own a Ski-doo with this engine. This makes sense, warm and a bit of a rest. The basic oil level can be verified while cold to make sure that some oil is in the sump prior to light-off, but finial checking would be require after heat-up to allow for oil expansion...

Am I meeting something here about the oil

This engine is derived from the snowmobile engine. You must be able to determine correct engine oil level when the engine is cold on a snowmobile. It is not a Spyder ACE 1330 engine which must be check hot and after 10 minutes of idle to allow the sump pumps to evacuate the sump areas. Do not...

Am I meeting something here about the oil

This is not a good thing to post! This is NOT a ACE 1330 engine. An ACE 1330 engine has a very complex oil sump system with many sump pumps. The ACE 900 engine is not even close by comparison. Winnex3 posted the correct date. 1.) I have two questions, what is going on in Mexico, do they have a...

    Ryker Forums question

I was thinking that a section for the various engines and drivetrain systems would be helpful i.e. the Spyder has the ACE 1330 engine category. The Ryker needs the ACE 600 engine/drivetrain/CVT system and a ACE 900 engine/drivetrain/CVT system. The CVT is a component of the engine system thus...

    Ryker Issue Alert!

Quality Control Concerns The fact that BRP seems to have slipped up on "quality controls" is a concern to me. First, how does QC miss the fact that the several gearboxes are not filled with oil. This is a MAJOR safety concern. If the gearbox where to overheat and seize a bearing at highway...

Ryker front tires size is Proprietary! Thanks again BRP........

Ryker front tire size is Proprietary! Thanks again BRP........ I've been trying to find a source of automotive tires for the Ryker. BRP specifications for the front tire size is 145/60R/16. This tire is not to be found in the automotive world as far as I've been able to ascertain. Look here at...

How would you compare the "fix and finish" of the Ryker compared to the Spyder?

How would you compare the "fix and finish" of the Ryker compared to the Spyder? How would you compare the "fix and finish" of the Ryker compared to the Spyder? I own an F3 and I would say BRP did not cut corners on fit and finish on this product and the engine was built in Austria. It feels...

BajaRon sway bar install details on a '16 F3-T

You both are correct! You both are correct about the instructions, it depends when your Spyder was built. I installed a BajaRon sway bar on my 2016 F3-T last week. I had Version 2.2 of the instructions in the box. I wrote to BajaRon (Ron) and ask about the lack of information required to...

    New purchase input

F3 is my suggestion: I would strongly suggest you purchase the 2017 F3. I looked at the topography of the area where you live on Google Earth. You have some nice twisties and rolling hills to ride. You don't have to ride the Spyder (F3) hard all of the time (which is where the F3 excels)...

ACE 1330 Oil Change Without Filter Change

Other considerations: A few other considerations regarding whether or not to change the oil filter: The filter will be contaminated with old oil. The oil can be drained off if you unscrew the filter cap and lift it slightly, leave it in this position for several hours and the filter will drain...

U-Fit brake rod clevis; internal dimension question?

How I shortened the brake rod. I cut the brake rod in two and measured the internal distance. The clevis rod end extends about 3/8 of an inch into the internal dimension of the rod. I choose to thread the outer diameter of the rod with a 1/2" x 13 tpi. die and join the rod back together...

    Spyder RT anti sway bar

Huge Improvement with BajaRon's bar BajaRon's sway bar was worth the money! Especially considering you get billet aluminum Heim rod ends links. The BRP plastic links look very weak and fragile. . I agree with Rattlebars. He wrote up his impression on his website above. He makes some great...
