• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Random thought for the day

yes it's getting so frustrating with this stupid AI can't believe anymore that what you see or hear is True
It was clearly marked AI. The message I got from watching it (knowing it was AI) is that motorcycle riders are both passionate (love to ride) and compassionate (Willing to help when others need it). So it was a good thought with some truth about most bikers.

The real problem is that No One seems to really care about 'AI' taking over.

Now this 'AI' has stuff is being used on most people's cell phones. I have tried to keep it off but it keeps marching right back. I hope they let the end user make the choice.

Most people know what that means.
I for one don't enjoy 'AI'. So don't push
it on my cellphone. It needs to be
controlled before it is 'just shoved in
Our Face'.

Just wanted people to know about this.

I use AI on a daily basis. However, I just use it like an extension of search and don’t trust the results for anything critical without verifying the results.

I know AI can do far more sophisticated things than this by spawning bots and having them solve far more complex problems.

However, I think that is far beyond the use case for the average person’s day to day needs. Subsequently embedding it in every single application you use is generally not helpful.

I like a clear boundary between the tools and applications I use and the AI capabilities of my systems. I think I’m not alone in this and it’s not because I don’t find AI genuinely useful.

The one place I find it useful, within the help part of an application, it is not often found. As apps become more and more sophisticated and as people move between different apps from different vendors a conversational help system is a tool I would use more frequently the regular application help systems where I rarely find answers to my problems.

You could see this being useful in things like the online user guides for products like a Can Am Spyder where just having a linear PDF document for an owners guide could be so much more.
