• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone purchased from an out of town dealer? Is this common? Any concerns?

I also purchased my 2016 F3T as a new leftover in 2017 from Imotorsports. They gave me a fair price for my 2012 RSS and did deliver to me at my vacation spot, since they were not able to get it to me before leaving on the trip.
I also bought my first Spyder (a 2014 RT) from a dealership in Texas. They did not offer free shipping, but even after paying around $800 to have it shipped, I saved $4,000 over what my buddy paid for the exact same bike locally 5 months earlier. The dealership helped me set things up with the shipper and it was also flawless.

I bought a 2014 RTL with matching RT-622 trailer from a non-Can Am dealer in Oklahoma. It was a trade in and they had it under-priced to get it gone. Very low miles and still had nearly 3 years left on the BEST warranty, although the seller did not know of the warranty. I found out about that when doing a VIN research. I flew to Oklahoma and rode the Spyder towing the trailer 1,200 miles home. First time on a Spyder. It was a real learning experience, especially considering the 50-70 MPH+ winds encountered while dodging tornados across Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle!

The seller provided me with lots of excellent pictures and details. I sent them a "conditional" deposit subject to the verifying vehicles condition upon personal inspection. After I was satisfied, we concluded the transaction and I paid with a cashiers check that I brought with me. The dealer was a large motorcycle dealership in Tulsa and had a good reputation. Because the seller was not a BRP dealer, they had very limited knowledge about the Spyder and could not give me a good run down on it's features and operations. I actually had to call a friend (who owned a Spyder) to find out how to open the fuel door at my first fuel stop...
