Is a BEST extended warranty a good idea? What's the process on selling your BEST warrantied Spyder?

I sold my 2018 with just a month or less on the warranty and told buyer they could have it transferred... but the amount of time left was so insignificant that it did not matter. It can be transferred if not cancelled by the owner first.

You cannot cancel and refund a BRP BEST extended warranty (other than for a short period after first purchased). They have always been this way. You must be speaking of some sort of aftermarket warranty plan. There is also no need to 'transfer' the warranty. It stays with the VIN when the bike is sold. Any name change on the bike will be handled by the dealer at the first service or repair after the transfer of ownership.

Read the contract under cancellation. I can cancel this and may do this BEFORE I sell bike.

I stand corrected.

I will say this is a major change to the terms the BEST contracts have had for many years. I just read mine and it cannot be cancelled after 30 days or after the first claim processed, whichever comes first. I have had 3 BEST contracts and they were all pretty much the same. The change is actually a good thing and in the owners favor.

Dealer stated they just recently did change contract to be in accord with State laws.

The Best warranty is refundable for a prorated amount. I just traded in my 2022 for a 2024 and the dealer would not give me any extra for the warranty. I purchased the 3 year warranty for iMotorsports for around $750 on 12/27/2024 and cancelled it on 4/25/2025. I received a $700 refund from Best.
