• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there any factory installed Navigation on a 2024 F3T?

About to pull the bullet on a new 2024 F3T but cannot find any info on whether or not this bike has the navigation installed. I was unable to find any info online and thought I would quiz the forum for an answer... Thanks.

I went online and grabbed a copy of the 2024 F3 Operators Guide. You can download the Acrobat PDF version here:

Page 53 has the same information as is in the Operators Guide for my 2024 Spyder RT S2S. So your F3 supports Apple Carplay for navigation, same as my RT S2S.

NOTE: When I first received my 2024 Spyder RT in March of 2024 it was supposed to come with Apple Carplay, but it wasn't included. I had to later connect my Spyder to my home Wifi network and download an update to my Spyder that added Apple Carplay. I don't know if you'll need to do the same for your F3.

Apple CarPlay
To use the Apple CarPlay, you must

1. Connect a compatible smartphone to the display via USB cable.
2. Pair a helmet audio system to the display via Bluetooth.

NOTE:
If one of the two devices is not properly connected, Apple CarPlay can not be used.

The USB port you have to plug your iPhone into is the one in the "glove box" in front of the handlebars.
And yes, it requires an Apple iPhone, since it's Apple Carplay.

It also requires a bluetooth headset in your helmet. I have an HJC C91 modular helmet, to which I added a SENA 3S Plus Boom Microphone Kit.
What I've found is that I need to turn the bike on, then plug in my iPhone, and then power on my headset in order for everything to connect correctly.

There's also information on the Can Am F3 Website:

For those of us who do not have Apple phones, there is a power source for a GPS. I ordered these from Lamonster:

  1. GPS mount LG-1023-1054 and
  2. Zumo mounting bracket and power cord LGA-010-12953-00/010-12953-03.

Before Can Am published the update that enabled Apple Carplay, I was running a Zumo XT mounted to my handlebars using an Arkon mount.
It was powered by this adapter from Lamonster, which was connected to the accessory power port behind the panel next to the right front wheel:

No, navigation is not installed.
In 2018 BRP stopped offering installed GPS as an option. BRP decided that riders will be dependent on their smart phone to provide GPS through BRP's BRP Connect App. In 2024, BRP added Apple CarPlay as the means to use GPS. To use this you must have an iPhone. Android phone users are out of luck.

Android users can either use their phone for GPS (with no display on the bikes' screen}, or as I, @racoon (post 4), @Peder (post 3), and many others have done, install an aftermarket GPS unit like a Garmin Zumo XT.
