• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

About to replace the Fuel filter on my 2021 RT - what is the best type of hose clamp, and what sizes are needed?

If you go to the 2021 RT Fuel Assembly at this link:

https://epc.brp.com/Index.aspx?lang=E&s1=441bf742-56c6-4d7b-9f81-b69368db7385#/Can-Am_On-Road/001_-_RT_-_Chalk_Metallic,_2021_(Built_After_Sept._2020)_000B2MA00_000B2MG00/02-_Engine_-_Fuel/Y2112/04YA301a/y

and look at Ref #40p, Fuel Filter Assy, PN 219800056, that assembly contains the fuel filter and 2 Oetiker clamps that are properly sized for the filter and hoses that connect to the filter. The Fuel Filter Assembly is less expensive by a couple of bucks than buying the three individual pieces in the Fuel Filter Assembly. The only drawback is you must purchase a pair of Oetiker clamp pliers that can be had from Amazon and the manufacturer of your choice. The beauty of Oetiker clamp pliers is they work on any size clamp and you always get the clamps properly tightened. The Fuel Filter Assembly for your roadster is the same PN as for my 2014 RT-S. I bought Knipex Oetiker clamp pliers and have changed my Fuel Filter Assy three times, and have used the pliers multiple times on the major services of my Spyder in its 90K+ miles. Caveat: I believe in investing in proper tools to maintain my investments. YMMV.

You don't NEED to use Oetiker clamps, you can use worm-drive hose clamps but they MUST be rated for use with fuel injection (ie high pressure) fuel lines and not low pressure carburettor fuel lines. Likewise if you need to replace any of the rubber fuel lines... they MUST be E.F.I. rated.

Buy the Oetiker pliers, also the radiator hoses also use the Oetiker clamps.
At 50,000 miles my right radiator oetiker clamp was weeping very slightly. To access the crimp I had to remove the battery. Replaced it with an old school worm good quality screw type.

I cannot get a Can-Am fuel filter soon enough for a ride, so is there a replacement fuel filter that I can buy from Auto Zone or elsewhere???

Thank you, Ron K.

Just to add to the others. I got the WIX #33095 from O'Reillys. Same as the NAPA #3095.

Concur with Jay - buy the oetiker clamps and pliers. They work great, don’t leak, and don’t back off. There is a reason OEM’s use them - they work the best. That you don’t have an issue for years and years is testimony of proof.
