• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No More Cat Delete for Me

Plus one on that!! Everytime I read that the 1330 needs "backpressure" for low end torque I question the origin of this... I pulled apart a stock cat and trust me, there is little to no restriction inside. The muffler is more restrictive. (I've measured both with a digital manometer under...

    MaptunerX

Europe uses RON only measurements so the number will show higher for equivalent fuel in the US, which using PON - an average of RON and MON. eg 95 RON = ~91 PON. As for the Maptuner, I love mine. It's tuned for 91 PON. If I'm touring and running my stock exhaust I set it to stock or Stage 1...

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

Opening ecu Some of the ecus need to be opened for enough access to crack the access code. Once cracked others of the same version dont need to be opened.

Tire burn out with Cat Bypass & Big City Thunder Baffle

Re millerdjr and back pressure. ...Yes I totally agree. It's NOT back pressure causing the problem with a cat delete, it's pulse timing!! There is virtually NO back pressure with the stock system under 5k rpm. I've measured it with a digital manometer. Adding a baffle simply reduces the ill...

    1330 Performance Upgrades

Has anyone tried this? Not inexpensive but looks like a good option if you want some flexibility.

    1330 Performance Upgrades

I believe we can thank the high end motorcycle market, led by HD for the high prices. The market appears ready to pay $20-$35K for high end motorcycles. Conversely high end snowmobiles and seamobiles go for $15K. Volume also contributes I guess. The other thing is, with the Mustang you...

    North to alaska 2018

Let me know if or when this might be happening. I can offer some tips etc about travelling up the Alaska Highway, particularly through Yukon, my stomping grounds. A few of us might join for part of the way.

    ECU Flash---Who has ORDERED YET?

backpressure This is true up to 5000 rpm. After that the stock system becomes progressively restrictive under WOT to redline. I consistently measured it at over 3.5 psi. A Two Bros exhaust, in comparison, registered about .5 psi under the same conditions. If the ECU can be mapped to...

    Oh what a pain . . . .CAT removal

top spring Even when you have the right spring pull tool, the problem is that there is not enough space to pull the spring out and away from the pipe as you stretch it, so it catches on the edge of the pipe. Put a one inch scraper at the pipe joint and the spring pulls easy across it. Once...

2017 F3 (SE) Nanny OFF performance?

Traction control Does seem weird. Maybe BRP increased the level of traction control for the standard mode setting on models with the Sport mode option (?)

2017 F3 (SE) Nanny OFF performance?

traction control The system's traction control will limit wheel spin unless you're at 90%+ throttle. There it will allow you to spin to redline. As with many things in life, the solution is "more throttle". cheers,

Exhaust Back pressure II - Two Bros vs Stock

A while back I was able to test the stock exhaust for back pressure. ( http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?98322 ) It's been cold here for a while but finally got a chance today to put the Two Bros exhaust on for a few test runs. I then added the P1X tip. I also put the stocker...

    Funny moment

live and learn Used to be I'd buy every manual I could for my vehicles, like Chilton and Haynes etc. Now I download the service manuals and just google or search youtube for specific issues. Lots of tips and tricks out there. Spyderlovers / Lamonster vids is a great example. Saved me a lot...

    Gas cap issue...suggestions?

simple solution It is an issue that requires attention, so it might annoy some people. But I agree that the fix is so minor that it should just become part of regular maintenance. I was part of the crowd that was cursing the design, till I lubed the sliding mechanism. Now I don't think...

Okay, here are some initial facts on the F3 stock exhaust back pressure

Had a chance to make some runs today with my F3 stock exhaust connected to a digital manometer. I can tell you unequivocally that the stocker flows really well....up to about 5,500 rpm. Idling - 0 psi, rev at 3k - 0 psi, cruising at 4k in 3rd - 0.2 psi. In fact even at WOT, psi is under 1...
