• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Please, I need advice re Putting a Spyder on ramps?

To keep the ramps from sliding forward you can screw/staple a couple of 2x4s to some indoor/outdoor carpeting strips or similar material. I found some long rubber runners at home depot for $20. To me, this was easier than putting boards in front of the ramp blocked up against the back wall of...

Rear wheel/belt adjusted. Diff between forward and reverse !

If you ever have it up on a lift, put it in neutral and rotate the wheel one way and then the other way with your hands and watch how the belt will crawl one way and then crawl the other way. On my 2020 RT, the belt would always crawl outward on the rear pulley when moving in reverse and it...

BRP denies warranty claim on water in fuse box - any ideas on next steps?

Friend of mine had a 2019 RT Limited with less about 5K miles on it when he noticed standing water in the frunk. Took him 2 or 3 trips to his dealer to get them to fix it (under warranty). To the OP here, IMHO, a motorcycle or any other piece of outdoor equipment that is intended to be used...

I'll use my Ram mount as EZ pass holder - what do you use?

Although I live in GA, I got all of mine through the NC EZ Pass website. IIRC, the only ones they offered for bikes was the decal/sticker. This was 3 or 4 years ago. At that time, they had no restrictions on where you lived. I may have had to answer a question about whether I traveled to...

I'll use my Ram mount as EZ pass holder - what do you use?

Doesn't help you today but you can order an EZPASS decal and stick it on your windscreen. Also, although I have never heard of people having issues, the units are registered to a particular vehicle/license plate: I have separate ones for each car and each bike.

Anyone buy the back trunk for a 2021 RT Base model?

If you have a base RT, I have the Linq rack a top case for sale here: https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?149024-Spyder-RT-2020-LINQ-Rack-and-Shad-SH42-Top-Case&p=1634086#post1634086 You can remove the top case in seconds and the Linq rack plate comes off in about a minute.

Hard time opening side bags on 2020 RT LTD - anyone else?

Push in at the top with one hand while pulling on the lever with the other. Be careful to not pull too hard on the lever as it is plastic and it will break (DAMHIK). Sometimes it takes a couple of tugs and pushes. They are not the easiest saddlebags to release and this is mostly due to the...

Raising the front end for sway bar Remove & Refit - how exactly?

My process on my 2020 RT: I used car ramps that got it about 8-10" initially up in the air, then I used 2x10 boards with a floor jack sitting on top of the boards in the middle between the ramps. Once I got the front tires clear of the ramps, I used more boards between the front tires and the...

2020 RTL OWNERS - How did you route your battery tender pigtail? 2020 Owner only..

Mine is near the fan shroud on the left side. Got it zip tied to one of the holes in the fan shroud. No issues with water or crud due to the tender having a nice watertight cover.

Doing 1st oil change (Spyder RT) I have a few questions (((Pics)))

Might be a bit late on this thread but hang on to those OEM o rings and use them as a reference whenever you change the filter again - measure the new o rings against the old ones to make sure you are not only putting the right o ring where it is supposed to go but also that the new o ring is...

    Look what I got today

You'll like the Vredesteins - same as I have on my '20 RT. Much quicker turning response and they are much better in the rain than the OEM Kendas that I took off.

Any info on adjusting rear trunk/top case latch on '20+ RTL?

Part of the issue with the side case latches on the 2020 is the poor way that BRP designed the cable routing: At the end of the cable where it mates with the release lever the cable wire has to make a "hard" angle to the release mechanism. The cable binds exiting the cable housing. In other...

Do you think dealerships should offer some compensation/discounts ??

Well, let's see, how can I say this without getting political ..... Ummm, one might even say that it isn't the dealer's fault nor is it BRP's fault. So, offering discounts and other compensation because of external market forces and conditions only makes their currently poor profit margins even...

BRP is shipping incomplete bikes to their dealers!

I have recently been shopping for a new car. Not only is it hard to find certain makes and models of new cars I was told by several dealers that if I ordered a car custom there was no guarantee that everything would work on the car; In particular, the touch screen and many of the electronic...
