• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What air filter is this? Doesn't look like the JT Air Filter. Would be interested in finding one if you have the manufacturer. I still have my 08 GS and love it. Don't plan on trading it in any time soon. Thanks.

Looking for a Spyder GS Comfort Seat??

It all depends on what you are looking for. I got my 2008 3 years ago and I have, sometimes, had to look hard to find what I wanted. Seats, you can find a couple of vendors. One of them is Motocycle Dave, who is a sponsor on the main splash page. A lot of the older parts are a little pricey...

    Another "Check DPS" warning

11/25 Update - So I know its been a while since I updated but I have been in the wind since I got the bike back. I received a call from Tim and they finally found the source of the trouble. Apparently the steering position sensor was bad and since it was okay when I took it in, they replaced...

    Wheel stud replacement

PMK you are the man. Keep trying to impart the wisdom and let whoever can, soak in the knowledge. Just as an aside, how do you feel about speed bleeders? I was thinking about changing out my fittings with them before doing my next brake job. I was surprised as I had never heard of them but...

    Corbin Fleetliner Bags

Italo they came on my 2008 GS and I have an aftermarket exhaust. They work fine. This is my grandson on my bike last year on a trip. The muffler with it's bracket was sitting low but, I have since raised it and it still has lots of clearance.

    Two Rallies I'm interested in

I was up at Sturgis or rather Hill City. Stayed in Hill City as it was more central to everything that I was there for. Riding the Black Hills and seeing Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer, Deadwood, Iron Mountain Road, Needles Hiway, etc. Went into Sturgis on Tuesday before it started on Friday...

    Spyderpops Air Management System

Totally worth the money. I installed the set on my 2008 GS and it made a huge difference. Love it.

    Another "Check DPS" warning

Got a call yesterday from the shop. They had been dealing with BRP and they ended up changing the DPS and the magnet in the alignment sensor. I don’t pretend to know enough about the systems to explain them, but I will be learning. Long story short the parts manager rode my bike home last...

    Another "Check DPS" warning

7/3 Update— So went to pick up my Spyder yesterday. Was excited as I hadn’t been in the saddle since before Memorial Day. Got about 5 miles from the shop and went into Limp mode so nurses it back to the dealer and they took it right back. They worked for another hour and then I had them ride...

Anyone have Rivco Floorboards fitting experience? Brake pedal extenders?

dickim, I don't have the brake extender on my 08 GS with the Rivco boards. I just shift my heel over and use it. I also do some fab work and have been thinking about fab'ing an extender. Will have to look at the positioning and all but, shouldn't be too much but some time and material. I am...

    Another "Check DPS" warning

Well further update.....Talked to Tx Adventure service dept and they had been on the phone with BRP for about 4 hours AFTER replacing the DPS with the "New" part from BRP. Apparently it was a bad part and they are having another part overnighted. Disappointed that my bike is delayed but, it is...

    Deadwood and Sturgis Rally’s

We are going to ride the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore and several of the areas. Sturgis is really on our agenda to roll through there on 1 day out of the 7. Actually just want to say I've been there and won't be stopping to look. Taking precautions but staying in a cabin in Hill City and...

    Deadwood and Sturgis Rally’s

Some friends and I are going to going to be in Sturgis the week prior to the rally and leaving the day it starts. Staying in Hill City in a cabin. Just wanted to ride the Black Hills and see the place. Hope I see some fellow Spyder Ryders while I'm there. Will have my mask with me for when I...
