• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    A little angry,and frustrated.

I had a panel come off, it was dark and I didn't notice it was gone. I retraced my steps the following day and found it barely damaged on the verge of a 4 lane. Timed it so there was a lull in the traffic and a quick stop retrieved it. However, that was before I realised the importance of...

Car Sick vs Motorcycle Sick and 2 up

Well, after my partner died my friends told me they'd find me a biker chick, they didn't come up with anyone so I had to find my own. We ride a bike each so not quite your problem...But, this year we had a day riding really woggly, side to side roads after which I did feel a little motion...

I just wanna buy ONE oil

Oil threads are always contentious so you'll need to sift through all the views and make your own mind up. Personally, I run 3 motorcycles plus two Spyders and I don't use motorcycle specific oil in any of them. I've done this for a number of years and many thousands of miles with no issues...

Very light scraping while loading - should I worry?

If you lower the Spyder rear suspension, the nose will rise considerably. It might be the easy fix you need.

    Front Fenders have movement

Aha, we might be talking crossed. The V-twin RTs use solid bushes but the 1330 uses rubber bushes. They both use steel ball joints on the upright, though of different design.

100kph slide, is nanna nuts or saviour ???

If nothing else, it shows the importance of reporting an issue to the dealer and insisting that BRP is made aware of it.

Apologies to others that have posted about poor wet handling

You do realise that although a sway bar keeps your Spyder more level, it transfers load from the inside tyre to the one on the outside of a curve, don't you?

Nankang XR611 Rear 225/50R15 - fitted to RTL

You're not familiar with UK roads, Kendas give about 8k here. But the low pressure would account for much of the low mileage.

    Front Sprocket Spline Failures

That bolt is screwed out! That's not a sprocket failure that's a fitment failure. Plainly you'll need a new sprocket because it's been rattling around on the splines but the new one needs to be fitted correctly. The shaft need to be thoroughly checked too because each time there's rusting and...

F3 slight braking on it's own

Is there a pedal return spring, if it's broken the pedal weight could apply a bit of brake and activate the brake light.

    gear on the rear seat?

The sensor is fastened to the bottom of the seat, just remove it and leave it loose. A bit of tape or Blutack will prevent it sliding about.

Need a speed sensor/voltage for gear indicator module/Shift light

You can get a tacho signal from the ECM side of either an ignition coil or fuel injector. Both of these carry a supply current on one terminal and the ECM grounds the other terminal to activate them. Both will likely carry a back EMF of possibly 80-90 volts. The vehicle speed signal can be...
