• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Newbie

Enjoy Enjoy the ride! I am sure everyone has a different experience, but at first corners at speed made me nervous. Not so much now, 3000 miles or so later. You may experience some apprehension about the bike as you get used to it... but my experience is.. you will get used to it! Heading...

    reverse fixed

Thanks I drove it down to the dealer, about 40 miles, in a rain storm on Saturday. Picked it up today, a beautiful crisp sunny spring day, and they had washed it, very well, and all seemed good. Larson Powersports in Fife, south of Seattle, Washington. I bought the bike elsewhere, but this...

    reverse fixed

About 2800 miles in my reverse quit working. Wettest Seattle winter in years so it had been sitting a while. Service called yesterday to say they replaced the reverse solenoid and all works now. I'd looked at Spyders for years before I bought and didn't buy due to high number of repair...

Won't go into reverse, won't automatically downshift

Bike has been sitting a few months. GO for a ride and reverse doesn't work, then, after a few miles, it won't automatically downshift. Any thoughts? 2015 RT with 3000 miles. Going in for service next weekend. Thanks

    Shawn Smoak Oil Change Video

Shawn is in Vancouver, Washington. I just bought my Spyder at Pro Caliber Vancouver (WA) a few weeks ago. Met Shawn while I was there, letting him know I bought the Spyder there, more than three hours from my house, because of him. He is not in Portland.

    Newbie TOTALLY confused!

Welcome Just another newbie saying welcome. 2100 miles in after about 5 or 6 weeks, and having a blast. I ride it most every day. Only driven MY car once since I bought the Spyder, though my wife and I have taken hers a few times when she doesn't want "helmet hair"! I can now take...

Welcome 88reynard Welcome. I am just about a month in, and just about 2000 miles. I think I am just about over any fears in high speed bouncy corners and the like. You'll see that everyone here recommends the BajaRon Sway Bar and I just ordered mine the other day. I am really enjoying my...

    What did you do today?

Breakfast run First off, thanks for your service, Bruiser. Did a breakfast run with my wife. We bought this Spyder as she hated my sidecar idea, which I'd talked about for decades, as the seating is bad for her back. So, when we test rode the SPyder and she found it more comfortable than...

Another Way to Keep People Off

evergreen Yeah, it was a part of my 1000 mile first trip. Pretty good place. I just noticed some part of that filed for bankruptcy toward the end of last year, though some deal was in the works in April to save it all. Are you a flyer? I trained in a Cessna 150 about 35 years ago...

Another Way to Keep People Off

Sitting No, it never has happened. Honestly, it wouldn't have occurred to me except for the comments here. Well, and I am part of group that meets every Friday night in a part of town where a good number of homeless people live. No crime in that, but there are always a few with some...

superb I took this course, and it was superb. Sidecars big and small, a trike and a couple Spyders. Pretty cheap, too. http://evergreenmotorcycletraining.org/sidecar-training/ Rained like crazy one of the days I went, though!
